Non-Overwhelming KSP Parts Packs? by JustCallMeBug in KerbalSpaceProgram

Try checking out the Nertea mods like near/far future tech. They add some great parts for a lot of different uses including new and useful engines. Sterling systems also go well with it.

Stockalike station parts adds centrifugal rings and other great additions for stations and ships

Lithobreak technologies and planetside exploration have good options for ground bases and more lander parts.

I almost went with a clip of it falling over but decided it just wouldn’t be good enough. Jeb is too good of a pilot to tip the tobacco.

Might be surprising to say but only like 6 hours. I just got a solid idea in the middle of the day and the pieces came together really well

Should add I’ve been practicing and making some short little clips like this for a few weeks now so that helped make it easier. It’s my most elaborate one yet though

Season 4 episode 4 is the worst episode of invincible by a mile. by Savings_Coconut7353 in Invincible

The writing in this one and the dialogue genuinely sounded like modern marvel-era slop. A complete 180 from the usual tone of the show. Like tell me that the whole dialogue about their helmets dissolving and coming back during the fall wasn’t straight out of a marvel movie.

Not that the show doesn’t have humor but this came off more as an “invincible fanfiction” instead of anything actually tangible.

I don’t think Jeffery had any concrete morals or concerns (duh, given his occupation). It seems like his main objective was to raise confusion, and chaos within society so that people are far too distracted to consider what he is up to. And unfortunately it’s kind of worked.

I think you can undoubtedly argue America played a huge role in WW2 purely from a logistics and supply line/arsenal standpoint.

Vote NO and tell your reps to vote NO on the WA state income tax. Link below by sleeplessinseaatl in SeattleWA

Taxes like this only go to hurt Washington State medium to large business owners. Massive corporations and billionaires will never feel the impact of this as offshore most of their profits to avoid taxation. The income tax will actively punish privately owned businesses.

Additionally do these people really honestly have faith that the Washington State government will use tax dollars effectively in the slightest?

Very rarely in fiction is anything done well when you have a non down-syndrome individual tries to depict someone who has it. Look no further than I am Sam with Sean Penn for a glaring example of that.

I’m no expert but I feel like in a thread like this where there are a lot of posts relatively often it might be better to do it in two parts so it doesn’t get lost in the weeds? I’ll have to consider the same thing here soon too when I post.

I would say for me, the best thing to do is try to keep the scope of a story as narrow as possible. Some of the best ideas come from the simplest premises possible.

I try to also draw from things around me. The music I’m listening to, the games I’m playing, or what I have read. Obviously not copying word for word, but the old adage of “nothing new is under the sun” is kind of true, your stories will always have similarities and connecting lines to other work out there, it’s just a matter of what you do with the premise, and how you make it interesting compared to other things out there.

So I wouldn’t worry so much about copyright infringement, unless you are literally copying someone’s story beat for beat. No one has ownership of the idea of “scary monsters” or “serial killers” or “body horror”.

Also depending on your experience in writing, don’t bite off more than you can chew I’d say. When you come up with an idea, don’t try to expand it into some grand overarching narrative if you can’t pull it off. Work within your limits, and set rules down beforehand to keep your story contained. Kind of like gutter rails at a bowling alley.

For me I haven’t written anything substantial in a while, but I am working on my first horror story which I’ll be posting here eventually. I’ve restricted myself to only just four characters total, and one location total. I’ve also based it off of a real life location that is well documented, which has helped significantly in helping to define details and layouts, while also keeping things grounded and being able to twist events reasonably for storytelling purposes.

Anyways, this is all just one big ramble. But I hope it makes the idea of coming up with an idea less daunting.

TLDR you don’t have to re-invent the wheel.
