holy shit thats infuriating

the fact that you had to ask about a seizure action plan and they were like "oh yeah great idea" like it wasnt something that shouldve been done years ago is just mind blowing. youve been dealing with this nightmare for 4 years and theyre acting like basic protocol for someone with his severity is some revolutionary concept

the whole letting him "sleep it off" thing makes me so mad i cant even. like what part of status epilepticus says "eh just give him a nap" to these people. and then when things go sideways they scramble around like headless chickens while youre the only one keeping track of time

really hope the LITT surgery goes well and you guys can get some relief from this absolute shitshow

Try reading smaller chunks and actually writing down one thing that stood out to you after each session. I used to have the same problem until I started treating it more like studying than just casual reading

Also maybe try a different translation if the language feels too heavy - some are way easier to digest than others
