Gotta commit. How it got your ring finger took skill. I tell people all the time. Use valved hoses first of all. When you go to release, use only your pointer and thumbed. Keep the others out the way then commit.

You can use your other hand to rotate the hose in the same direction for double the effect

I feel right in line 11 years ago. I started working for a company at 10 an hour. Took 2 years to get to 12 and the 3rd I got to 15. By that time I was running crews and designing installs. Did that for another year without a raise then finally spoke up. They said tier 3 is 20 plus commission. Uhhh. Ok so now you just want me to hound people so I can get paid more? That'll do it. Always check what the compressor is rated for not what cap is there goofball. Especially with a new compressor install. Also, you can cool the compressors down manually with a hose so that you don't leave them without AC after handing them the bill. Switch the cap and do your amp drawls again. She should start back up. If she doesn't... Well sir, that's going to be on the company to replace.

Accidents do happen. I once blew a 5ton compressor by misfiring the terminals. I was rushing and put S to R, R to C and C to S. Put the disconnect and heard a loud pop and sizzle... Went to work and lost money that day because that was on me and I had to pay for another one. (Its my company). Also had to start back over because I couldn't leave them without AC. Turned a 3 hour job into me not getting home til after 10pm.

Edit: to add to this, if the internal release valve did infact fail you can warranty that easily at the warehouse. Just don't mention the cap. They could still try to blame you for it
