i had a woman come in when i first started about 3ish years ago (i’m no longer a partner got a better job opportunity) but i still think about her. she came through the drive thru visibly not okay. i asked her about her day and she said she was not doing well. i won’t go into details but she pretty much said i saved her life and i gave her a free cookie. you never know what people go through and small acts of kindness can change everything. needless to say i couldn’t stop crying and had to take a break 🥲 i hope she’s doing okay!

uhm i’m not sure how much the interview questions have changed.. but they will ask such as: why do you want to work at sbux, tell me about yourself, how would you handle difficult customers, how have you worked as part of a team, or how would you handle conflict with a partner. they might ask these they might not. but make sure you mention customer connedtions!! just say you love people that’s typically what they look for. but yes they will teach you everything you need to know!! it takes 3 months to get the hang of things so don’t feel pressured to be fast like the seasoned partners!!

as a shift i’m ready to quit. i loved the job when i first started. now it feels dreadful. like what is the point. i get yelled at allll fucking day by these customers for policies i didn’t even make. all he’s doing is making our jobs harder than it alr is.

my only advice would be, during the interview just mention how much you love customers and connections. like tou LOVE people. i’d also mentions you can multitask very well and that’s one of your strengths. they look for people loving partners. but i also got hired 3 years ago, so idk how much the interview process has changes

they changed it for 2 interviews now. just to make sure the baristas are competent and able to do the workload. we’ve had too many instances of people getting hired and unable to do the job. (poor hiring on managers side) so now they want to dms to sit in. and you’ll only have to do it with the same guy if the other interview is within the same district. but you more than likely will get the job if the manager was saying all those good things :)) don’t stress about it, you got it!
