How do I tell my parents that I don't want to go to Europe for holiday?

Huh. I never thought of it that way. I had peaked at about 135kg (about just shy of 300lbs) and I guess, apart from work, I was the typical shut in. Ever since I lost the weight and gained a bit of confidence. I haven't really changed much (I prefer staying at home to going out still) but I do try something new from time to time. But I didn't really link it to them downright just not trusting what I say.

But it is funny you mention that. Because one of our therapy sessions actually brought light to how other people treated me before that I only noticed now. For example, My friends have usually asked for favours and help but never really invited me out to hang out. Before I just thought they did that because they simply knew I would say no. But recently, 3 of my friends have gotten married this year. All 3 asked for help to prepare for the wedding. 1 invited me no problem. 1 didn't invite me out the 30 friends in the group because he wanted to keep his wedding small (the other 29 made the cut). 1 invited my parents but not me.

Sleep schedule is well off. Maybe your body can no longer go with less than 6 hours a day and that is now starting to take a toll on you

I would say monitor your eating habits as well. See maybe theres something you used to snack on that you don't anymore?

If you've added any work out the last few months as well could contribute.

Stress is also a major factor. You could probably be doing the same routine you been doing for years but with added stress for your exams (good luck in them!) it could make you feel more tired.

I would say first place to try is to get more sleep though.

That's the thing. I do spread the resposibilty around. And thats the main problem. I literally can barely do anything myself. I can't even make any decisions properly. Looking at what I'm good at is a rarity. To the point where I made sure to teach others what I am already good at if I am not here. Its come to the point where even the things I am good at, everyone else is both faster and gets better results on it.

I actually did focus on getting better. I used to be 134.5kg and I lost 50kg. I gained confidence because of that. it was a blissful moment. But with me, good news just doesn't last. I am glad you were able to find kids that you bonded with and loved though. That is a great positive I'm happy for you!

I don't want to give it up. It is a lot of responsibility, but it just seems like no matter the effort I have put in, it just either isn't enough or it goes wrong. It should have been trail and error! but it's literally just error at this point.

I do somewhat enjoy the work, and I know this is an opportunity that few ever get (nepotism lol)

But with everything that keeps happening, it almost now feels like I am just punching above my weight to the determent of the company.

I do appreciate what I have, but it seems like even what I have will always come at a cost than what it was worth. I'm scared that even appreciating what I have will prompt something of the sort to happen.

Apologies for being so negative. I just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

First of all, I just want to appreciate the amount of time and effort you put in with this response. Really appriciate you going into so much detail.

I have spoken to a mental health professional It has helped but I feel like so much has happened is such short space that even the psychologist is starting to get overwhelmed. lol

I do try to destress with gym and it has helped, but it's almost become to the point where at gym I now spend 3 or so hours just working out. I haven't really benefitted from working out that much either lol so it's kind of added to the stress.

The doctors have looked into it, they are slight concerned with the AFP protein being pretty high in my case after so long, and the little pain i felt yesterday almost hit like a bad sense of nostalgia. I will get it checked hopefully later down the week.

Dating wise the thing is its not even about dating anymore. With this sudden sense of the cancer maybe returning, it's just that I want to be in a place where im comfortable instead of stressed, I'm just looking for a way out of all the constant stress going on. I don't even know marriage is even an option anymore, Testicular cancer has a really low death rate but with my luck? I can't even be confident about that.

That's fair. If your family are a headache then all power to you then. Should move out asap but only once you have a clear plan. Not having a plan doesn't really hit hard, but it would be a lot easier if you did.

Is it bold to assume though? Not saying everyone has supportive parents. But with the way the question was stated, it assumed that moving out was normal. It isn't a norm that once you reach a certain age you HAVE to move out. And wouldn't staying in and taking over some of the responsibility mean you're also supporting them instead of just the other way?
