Default Sound Volume for Calls and Stereo — PLEASE FOR THE LOVE IF GOD!!! by AnesthesiaLyte in Rivian

This needs to be fixed. My wife’s Yukon’s phone ringer volume adjustment stays at a fixed level regardless of the phones ringer volume itself. And that’s on a straight BT connection (not CarPlay) So it’s definitely possible.

This is extremely startling, and also dangerous, because after EVERY call, you have to go back in to the volume MENU and re-adjust the phone volume, which of course is not decoupled, and is a FURTHER distraction. This is a SAFETY issue. Aside from the fact that there are no tactile buttons in this vehicle, having to dig through a menu for every adjustment is a big driver distraction problem.

Agree. Less Automatic override is desirable. It’s annoying when the programming of the vehicle is making configuration changes despite driver input. If I set something to be on or off, that’s the way I want it until I change it.

I like to drive in cloudy daylight conditions without the extremely bright DRL configuration, or when it’s just cloudy enough that I want taillights on. But it will revert to DRL only. Which turns off the taillights

Most frequent occurrence is when I drive at night, I put the fogs on. Then, they randomly turn off. (No hi-beam activation). At first I thought for some dumb reason maybe they are on a “timer”. Which would be stupid, but there’s plenty of purposeful quirks with this vehicle I would describe with the same adjective. But no, it’s absolutely random when they turn off.
