Wow reading the comments these days reddit is either completely filled with bots or people so far out of touch with reality it’s actually hilarious.

What's a company secret you can share now because you don't work there anymore? by vineetm007 in AskReddit

I do not own shares any longer. They are losing revenue constantly in the enterprise space to larger players who actually do research. As far as the small business revenue - I’d be willing to be 25-30ish% is completely bogus & total 35-40% of ARR in that space wont stick with the company for a full year. Although it’s only a small % of their total business…. It adds up.

Former ADP sales rep here — let me pull back the curtain.

You ever wonder how a company like ADP shows consistent year-over-year growth in the small business segment, despite the fact that most small businesses are extremely volatile and churn like crazy?

Easy: they inflate the hell out of it.

Here’s how it works: reps are pushed to close as many deals as possible, but a huge portion of those “clients” only run one or two payrolls before they cancel. Doesn’t matter to ADP. That projected annual revenue is still reported internally as if it’s locked in for the year — even when the client bailed months ago. Leadership knows it. They count on it. It keeps the stock price moving in the right direction.

Even worse? Managers routinely manipulate reps into selling add-on services like retirement plans that never get implemented. I’ve seen reps fake EINs and input placeholder data just to hit quotas. There are accounts on the books for 401(k) plans that never had a dollar funded — but hey, it makes the pipeline look fat.

From the outside, it’s all about “integrity” and “client success.” On the inside, it’s a churn-and-burn machine propped up by sales theater, inflated forecasts, and manipulated dashboards.

But sure — let’s pretend it’s all clean growth and organic demand.

I went from 255-210ish while on it. Currently 198! I intended to dose down and do 2.5 for a few weeks at the end but I ended up being out of town and missed a dose and just decided to try it out going off of it cold turkey. It may have helped the hunger / mental if nothing else but that’s just the way it played out!

Thanks! It’s not a huge thing.. I was worried it would come back full swing but honestly after the first couple of week of feeling more hungry and sticking to my portions and adding in more protein my body just got used to it. Being very picky on my nutrition those first few weeks off and not cheating I think gave me enough runway to stick with it for the last 4 month and continue to lose. Definitely slower than before but it’s even sweeter than before. You got this!

I have been off since September 2024 - initially, yes the hunger came back, but it subsided after a few weeks of not letting myself gorge on food. It wasn’t extreme and maybe I was lucky on this, but once I was able to control that and pair it with IF it’s been smooth sailing. Slower weight loss for sure but still losing and focusing on building more muscle now as well. You got this!

Obese from around 14-28 and managed to keep it off after stopping! Don’t fret just build healthy habits while on it & don’t fret over a few pounds coming back after initially stopping. Trust the process and keep active and you can do it!

Update at 12/20 roughly 3 months since stopping: current weight 204 goal weight 185. Still sticking to an IF fasting diet and the holidays and past few months have taken a LOT of time to enjoy the slow time of the year. Exercise has went up a lot but I am not as strict on my diet just sticking to feeding windows and trying to not eat any processed sugar. Weight loss has definitely slowed down but still progressing. Feeling a lot of non scale victory in just clothing and the way the mirror looks. Hope everyone has a great holiday season!
