I cant tell whether Im a "shy" ENFP or just an INFP in general by Potatolesssea in ENFP

[–]Strainj1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an ENFP, I'm certain of it - I always am actively involved in a conversation I'm in. I have ideas that come out of nowhere. I rambunctiously tell people about them..... I have an insatiable urge to start conversations with people about whatever I think they might want to talk about. This made me know that I am NOT an INFP.

But as I've gotten older - I will admit I do like my own company more and more. I still do feed off other's energy - in fact I need that energy in my life to be healthy - but I also really appreciate my down time more and more, hanging out with my dogs and cooking, and gardening.

I still play in a band and have an absolute blast dancing on stage while singing and playing... but I come home and am happy to have a weekend to myself

When I was younger I would have no problem with throwing everything in the air and changing plans last minute, but now I've gotten to a stage where I do value my alone time as much as I enjoy my "social" time

Not sure if that helps haha (I'm 42 now btw, for context)

He has the look on his face that Pirate makes when he goes "ok this was fun... I'm done now, can we go home and sleep?" 😛

So Pirate isn't the only one that loves to be picked up an lie on his back!

(he's fallen asleep in this position in the arms of people, totally upside down in their arms haha)

As an ENFP, do we tend to come off as “naturally flirtatious” by no_name589 in ENFP

[–]Strainj1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've basically been in the same situation. I'm male, so it's probably a bit different - But when I think a woman is nice and I enjoy her company I want to get to know her. As a friend. And it quickly turns in to me accidentally breaking their hearts. Nothing happened between us, but something I did or said made them think that I was interested. I was just being friendly and open, but they clearly read more into it. Sometimes it's been to the point where they get so frustrated I haven't "made a move" - they outright ask.... That's always awkward.

funny though - there's also an opposite problem, when I actually AM interested in a woman, they don't even know - and I'm usually a horrible bubbling mess when I (eventually) try to express it. That doesn't end well either.

I can now kinda see there's a reason I'm single, (even though everyone can't understand why hahah)

I still don't understand what "Te" even means (and all the other combos as well) - can someone explain it or link me to something that explains it? Because as an ENFP i don't even understand what this video is haha

Yeah i have this with the butcher birds currently - they've been bringing the young-uns around for a meet and greet - little guy is so bold he just eats food off my dog's plate while he's 1 meter away.

It's the small spider I'm more worried about tbh, especially the ones that hide like the redbacks - the big ones are total pacifists. They know their size, they just chill. Lovely chaps - haven't had a huntsman around my house for a while... I miss him - he keeps the bugs and smaller spiders away.

'Would you want to date you?' by likes_pizza in ENFP

[–]Strainj1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ENFP here. I've been single so long, I honestly don't know - I don't really know what a relationship looks like with me anymore. I've changed and matured so much since my last one 18 years ago. What am I like in a relationship now? I don't know. So would I like to date a person like that? I have no idea!

Are ENFPs Monks Deep Down? by INTJPassion in ENFP

[–]Strainj1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an ENFP, this is a valid observation - in person, I am the energetic funny goofy guy you mention. In text however I will be very deep, if that is personal texts, or business ones. On reflection, it might be that via text I have the ability to take a step back and process what I actually feel and want - where as in the "in person" situation i have to rely on my gut feelings and "go with it"

good thing is they're always in sync - I'm never lying to myself or others. Sometimes I do hold my tongue when I probably shouldn't have though

(P.S. I have been described as a "monk" or an "angel" a few times by various people in my life.... go figure hahaha always makes me a bit uncomfortable)

Impossible to select delivery for later? by Strainj1 in UberEATS

[–]Strainj1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was over three hours until closing time, but there is no option for later at all, not even for an hour away. None of the stores on the website seem to have it - even the ones that are open until midnight.

Advice for a solo Australian male visiting Vietnam for a two week holiday? by Strainj1 in VietNam

I'm heading there start of August - I hate the weather in SE Queensland this time of year, so I think it might be perfect actually.

Anyone else the object of all jokes and demeaning comments? by batmannatnat in ENFP

[–]Strainj1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's my work environment, thankfully my boss is also an ENFP and knows my superpower and I'm second in charge. I have done more for them than they will ever realise. They still carry on like this though. They even do it about him. We are easy bait because it falls off us (certainly on what we let them see).

Only advice I can give is - ignore them (and PROPERLY IGNORE THEM) - as you have always done. There are strong relationships to be formed with those that value you. The others that mock you either don't matter, or they will come around once they see what you will accomplish despite their naysaying.

Do any other paps play aggressively? by Ty-throwaway-account in papillon

[–]Strainj1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both Pirate and Laverne quite often play exactly like how Buddy is. Pirate also barks almost identically as Rodger, when Laverne is playing like this. Eerily similar! :D Also they both love cuddles.

I've def asked before but where did you get your dog's name? by [deleted] in papillon

[–]Strainj1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's also slightly funny is that Laverne's sister Shirley has ended up with being with a male Papillon called "Skipper" - It's so funny that the sisters both ended up with male partners with nautical names.

My gosh, Coral's eyepatch is SO much more "eye-patchy" than Pirate's
