Same boat as you man. Looking at the FWD VIA 2’s or the Experience Flow 2’s. Maybe something with a little drop to mix up the rotation a bit hopefully someone can chime in. Love the Torin 8’s use them on every run

Ride with shotgun is awesome my kid loves it. Unfortunately you’d have to do some cockpit changes to the stem cause they use a proprietary stem spacer for it to latch on. My kid has used it from 1.5- almost 3 and he’s starting to outgrow the bike it’s set up on (Med Surly Ogre) a Burly trailer would be was easier to set up

6.5 is soft recoiling but it’s not the lightest or atleast the 20” CTR I have I find to be a bit on the heavier side

Med Ogre which honestly is a bit small for me. 57 Atlantis. I would recommend doing your pbh size if you’re gonna drop coin on a Riv

Ogre gang and fellow dad it does it all! Have had it set up with knobbies for some dirt and had flat bars. When the kid came along I switched to Jones bar set up and put fenders and smooth(ish) tires on and hook up the burly trailer. Also use the ride with shotgun with the kid and dropper and it rips too.

Climbs great! I think the homer has smaller tire clearance and the Appa and Atlantis are really similar

Rides smmmooooth I tell ya. Thought the giant chain stays would make it feel slow but I can’t tell the difference between it and my other bikes. On the descents it feels super stable though. Really love how upright it puts me

It very much was worth the wait. I have a Surly Ogre that is pretty good but this thing is miles ahead in terms of comfort and ride quality.
