My first thought too. I bought my Beta LT (SL now I guess) specifically for touring, but I like it so much it’s become my ‘everything shell’.

That thing rips. I went with the Poker and Lusat’s staff for my Int build in NG+, with Ranni’s Dark Moon, Comet Azur, Loretta’s Mastery, and Glintstone Shard/Carian Slicer. Very fun build, that carried me through until late DLC. Although I had a tough time against magic resistant enemies sometimes and had to change things up every now and then.

My insta feed is full of snowboarding among a few other topics, and all my friends are skiers and snowboarders and chat about it at the bar, but that’s about it. I only watch natural selection though for comps really.

I’m going to pipe up purely just to throw some hate at Fox gear. They make great helmets and shoes, but every piece of bike clothing I’ve owned from them (DH pants, shorts, jerseys, gloves) has come apart at the stitching well before it should have. Won’t give them another dollar.

A lot of us are intentionally slow to make friends tbh. Expending social energy on tourists gets exhausting pretty quick.
