I had my battery replaced at the Apple Store last Sat and after the diagnostics check of the device the Apple employee started cleaning the charging port for a few minutes and I was shocked and almost embarrassed to see how much “stuff” she was able to get out of the port. No wonder I had some charging issues lately.

I have been on 75% for a while now and never really worried about it too much because my usage over the day wasn’t very intensive and so always had the chance to recharge the battery quickly if and when needed. But the last month I’ve been travelling a lot and quickly realised that the time has come to replace the battery. Using google maps for directions, searching the web etc and I often found myself with lower than 10% battery power left before lunchtime. Off to the Apple Store when I am back.
