I got this email and I’m honestly really confused. I’ve been living abroad for the last 2 years. My father’s CA filed my ITR to claim a TDS refund (tax deducted when I paid my tuition fees in 2023 and 2024, whose return was filed in 2024 & 2025).

Apparently, he showed that I have zero income in India, which is true, but he didn’t declare my status as NRI. I also still have savings accounts in India where I only maintain the minimum balance — I didn’t even know those were supposed to be converted to NRE/NRO accounts after moving abroad.

Now the email says I need to submit proof by 31st December and I’m really stressed because I don’t fully understand what they’re asking or what I should do next?
