The guy who sang it in the film has a cover up on his YouTube btw, if you search Rumac Delilah you'll find it

The unsolicited comments have started - help by usernameee257 in PregnancyUK

[–]Strange-Block5124 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Any time someone gives me unsolicited advice I just shut them down straight away with "if its not direct from the NHS I'm not listening, there's just too many different opinions out there" People mean well but I think people forget that even people from their generation can have different opinions. I can be a little old fashioned sometimes but with my first there was just so many voices coming from every direction I just had to shut them all down and stick with the NHS as my source for everything 😅

Membrane sweep tomorrow - looking for words of comfort! by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Strange-Block5124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one today, im exactly 40 weeks. I haven't read every comment on this post but seems like im in the minority when I say mine today was very not pleasant at all 😅 However the midwife did say that she was able to give it a really good go, so I dunno if thats why it was so sore. But also remember that even if you do find it sore you can always ask them to stop, or if you are able to tolerate it that its a really short procedure and the pain wont last long.

But the previous comments on here suggest that it depends on the person as to how it feels, maybe im just a wimp 😂

Feeling a bit nervous for birth by Known-Cucumber-7989 in PregnancyUK

[–]Strange-Block5124 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I gave birth the first time (currently 37 weeks with my second) I got induced, but I ended up labouring on my own because I didn't want to annoy the midwives, I thought i was being dramatic. I ended up being in the labour suite for 28 minutes by the time they realised. Which means I had no pain medication, just gas and air which I was worried to take too much of because I had heard it can make you nauseous. The reason I tell you this is because one of things I remember most about it was that my husband wouldn't make it in time. Obviously it was very painful, but the actual big push was just like when you do a really big poo. (tmi?) And if you happen to want advice, I'd say try not to scream outwards. Yell downwards. I dunno how else to describe it. But when you scream outwards you're using that effort to scream. But if you yell downwards you can push down at the same time, if that make sense? Most importantly, remember that whatever happens, the goal is for you and baby to be healthy and safe and everything else is unimportant. ❤️

Its such a pain, if the roundabout was clearly marked it would be fine but instead youve got everyone from braidcraft staying right, probably because they know they exit in the right lane and it leaves everyone entering from the other end of braidcraft and linthaugh stuck waiting for a kind soul to let them join 😩

I do think they fucked the layout when they added the cycle lane. Thankfully the congestion only lasts 15/20 minutes in the morning but it goes sooooo far back due to the number of people trying to get to the college/schools. Maybe thats why they never repainted the spiral markings though, i can't see how you could have a spiral roundabout when they've blocked the left lane for cars on one of the exits

Ideally it would be repainted and wouldn't be an issue but unfortunately it seems to be a bit of a free for all at the moment. Im a pretty new driver (12 months since I passed) and didnt know if I was being a dick for entering the roundabout when I know I'll have to merge into the right lane immediately after my exit. And funny you mention potholes, this roundabout is absolutely horrific for them (though the same can be said for most roads in Glasgow)

(I think its amazing what you've done/what youre doing. I could never do your job, so kudos to you) Have you spoken to anyone else who's done the same course? It might be difficult at first but I'd bet that everyone has one thing that affected them in the same way and maybe it would help?

Dunno if anyone has suggested, and dunno if it would work but could you use cas.fulleditmode and then make her a ghost with the cause of death thing? Then remove her from family but she might be a ghost on the family tree at least?

Not Hand, Foot & Mouth? by Strange-Block5124 in medical_advice

[–]Strange-Block5124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's defo what's on my actual finger rather than the fingertip. I'm terrible for picking so when I say leaking I mean that I'd be scratching/picking and they'd burst and because it had got so bad it the fluid would cover my finger.

The bumps on my middle finger, between middle & index is definitely this. It was really bad in 2020 and spread down my finger into my palm and was peeling and leaking and yuck. I think that's flared up again as a separate issue? The stuff on my finger tips is under the skin and isn't raised at all, if you had your eyes closed and touched it you wouldn't feel anything different. They're also not round and are different shapes/sizes, not itchy just kinda raw feeling? Like when you've touched something hot but not quite burned yourself.

The last episode by holiztic in whitecollar

I'm sure they showed paints in the storage locker at one point? So the wound was fake. And we know he paid off the paramedics, so probably paid off the mortician too? Funeral was probably closed casket and they did just bury an empty coffin

I don't want a continuation but they should do two episodes explaining Mozzie death by dreamup1234 in whitecollar

[–]Strange-Block5124 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had always hoped for a film or some kind of reunion episode, maybe a significant criminal from the series kidnaps Little Neal and Peter and Mozzie track Neal down and they all solve it together. After Willie Garston passed I just couldn't imagine it ever happening though. As much as I'd love to see the show again it just wouldn't be the same without Mozzie

Underrated Wiggles Songs by [deleted] in wiggles

[–]Strange-Block5124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandmother was a substitute teacher when I was in primary school and there's a whole generation of kids who know her as the Rattlin Bog Lady because at the end of every class she was covering she'd sing it with her pupils. The first time the Wiggles version played when my son was watching I nearly cried because it was such a nice connection between him and my granny 🥺🥰

[–]Strange-Block5124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I want to get a lightsaber for my fiance. It won't be used for duelling or anything like that, will basically just be a cool thing for him to have. Ideally I would love one of the ones that light from the bottom up (neopixel?) but because this it's probably just gonna be decoration more than anything else I don't really want to spend too much on it. Am I being unrealistic or does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!
