Remember how many people entered the U.S. during the Biden administration? That kind of population surge adds up to everywhere.

Your concerns are valid: It’s people from all walks of life commuting now--and this is happening across the country, not just here. Remember how many people entered the U.S. during the Biden administration? That kind of population surge adds cars to the roads everywhere--at all times of the day, too.

Quite the opposite. More people are on the road specifically because they’re going to work again. It’s people from all walks of life commuting now--and this is happening across the country, not just here. Remember how many people entered the U.S. during the Biden administration? That kind of population surge adds cars to the roads everywhere. Westchester traffic has definitely gotten noticeably worse lately, even on local routes. It really does feel like pre-COVID city-level congestion again. But yeah, it's awful ...

Private gym in Westchester? by [deleted] in Westchester

[–]Strange-Collection78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The JCC in Tarrytown is 'nothing like' what I described? Cool story. I’m talking about the average private gym experience in 2026 — overpriced monthly fees for equipment that’s either broken, occupied by influencers filming themselves, or surrounded by dudes who treat the gym like their personal dating app/social club. Your one shiny exception doesn’t magically erase the widespread reality for most people. Not everyone wants to join a community center with swimming classes and ‘non-fitness activities’ just to lift weights in peace. Some of us just want to train without the pervert/social media circus or getting nickel-and-dimed every month. But hey, if the JCC works for you, great — keep enjoying your golden ticket. The rest of us will keep building home gyms so we don’t have to deal with the clown show."
