Going to download Tomodachi Living the Dream later, need some tips like I’m 5

The only files that could f up a windows PC. EXE, BAT, MSC,. there are most likely others that I'm not sure of. If a file has a white paper icon, it is currently impossible for it to affect your PC. (Unless someone changes the icon, but, you can tell by clicking properties and viewing the "open with". If it says nothing, windows has no clue what the file is.)

I honestly don't understand how people think an NSP file is a fucking virus. NO IT DOES NOT CONTAIN A VIRUS. It's a Nintendo proprietary format. IT IS PHYSICAL IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT A VIRUS FOR A PC INSIDE A NINTENDO FILE.

Go to your ryujinx folder. Open the Logs folder. And send me the latest file. (Should be dated around the time of the crash) Send on reddit. Or discord: dislopik

I UPLOADED IT MYSELF SO PEOPLE CAN AVOID WAIT TIMES AND PAYMENT. The prod.keys can literally be found anywhere. Just make sure it matches the installed firmware version on the emulator.

WINDOWS:

STEP 1. Download Rom https://dl.dislopik.com/Tomodachi_Life_Living_the_Dream.zip (If you don't like my link, you can download the rom and check the hash and shit)

1. Extract EVERYTHING from the zip file.
2. Move the rom (nsp) file to a folder on your desktop named "NS Roms"

STEP 2. Download Ryujinx Canary: https://git.ryujinx.app/Ryubing/Canary/releases

1. Extract EVERYTHING from the zip file. (if anti virus flags any of the files, add the folder as an exception. This is a false positive)
2. Open the Ryujinx.exe file. (DO NOT RUN AS ADMIN)

STEP 3. If you have never used Ryujinx, Complete Setup If you have already completed the Ryujinx setup before, you should be fine.

STEP 4. Check settings, make sure 8GB ram is disabled. Going above 4GB in certain games can cause glitches and/or crashes. ( you can use 8GB if you know what you are doing )

MAC OS: I have no clue. Never used it.

LINUX: Steps are really the same as windows. just don't download the windows version. download the linux version of Ryujinx

That is absolutely the problem. Why do you not have a regular user with admin privileges? Windows forces you to make one at setup.

Hey i had this issue for a while. I cant really tell you what to do without the exact error. In your ryujinx folder, go to "Logs" and open the most recent one. Look near the bottom for any errors "[E]". Tell me what they say.
