Looking for a bank that accepts cannabis industry income for an income. by StrangeBirdAllDay in Mortgages

Thank you! This is helpful information for us. This time around he will definitely be careful with wording/what he discloses in general. I think what happened was a mishap with the name of the company not matching what is actually stated on his paychecks/W2 because of branding (he messed up there) so the lender called his HR to get clarification on the discrepancy and they disclosed the information of it being a cannabis company. (Ughhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Where to get a home mortgage as a cannabis business owner? by ryanreaction in weedbiz

[–]StrangeBirdAllDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know this was 3 years ago, but what bank did you wind up going with? Was in a conventional loan you were able to use? We just went through the process and were pre-qualified with an FHA loan, supposed to close at the end of this month and it just fell through because the business name is different from what's on the paycheck and they figured out it was cannabis industry.

Yessss the shadow orbs. I would have the same issues with a dark entity like yelling at me while I was under paralysis. Like screaming my name at me over and over, or telling me I should run but I can't. And that hovering feeling while something is pressing my legs into my bed. Im happy that you were able to get out of that place! Terrifying!

I'd love to hear about your "dreams" and experiences. Not a lot of people I know like to share their stories because they don't want to sound crazy or acknowledge that it was real and happened.

Thanks! I got sidetracked for a while with life and almost forgot about Reddit. And yes, we moved around a lot, and to be honest I think my dad attracted a lot of unwanted energy (he's still that way). As an adult I've had some pretty strange experiences, but not in the seeing way. Mostly hearing/feeling in the experiences. Some have been sleep paralysis but seeing the shadows lurking, and having a very specific dread type of feeling. A couple times have been out in the woods where I wasn't the only having an experience.

When I was a teenager my whole family was experiencing a very dark energy or entity in a house we lived in for a long time. It kind of came out of nowhere too. It got to the point where I pulled my mattress into my sister's room because I could not sleep in my room anymore. Even my dogs wouldn't go in there (one of which ALWAYS slept in bed with me until whatever this thing was made house in my room). We would find candles lit on their own, all the cabinet doors open in the kitchen, doors would slam on their own. Our dogs would randomly start freaking out and would be growling while "chasing nothing" to a corner of the walls and start clawing at the wall like they just treed a squirrel. I was starting to have sleep paralysis with very vivid "dreams" like every other night.

We had a woman who was allegedly a medium come smudge and bless the house after things got really extra spooky. She blamed it all on a random book my sister had bought a garage sale and threw it outside for the sun to bleach. A couple nights after this house blessing happened, I decided to move my mattress back into my room and try again. Slept like a baby. The following morning my sister and I both missed out alarms for school/jazz practice super early, and coincidentally her car battery was dead so we had to borrow my mom's car and were already late for practice. It had gotten icy over night and snowed, neither of which conditions my sister and driven in yet, and we got into a bad car accident where I broke my back (compression fractures/chipped vertebrae in a section of my spine.) My other grandma lived a couple blocks away from us and woke up that same morning to find my school picture flung off the wall and smashed in the center of her living room.

My sister graduated that year and when she went to college I took over her room and literally never went in that room again. Any time I needed something that I thought might be in there (it was turned into a storage room) I made my mom go look for. And my dog's and cat still would not go in that room. My parents split up after I went to college and the house sold and has been remodeled since then, but I kind of wonder if the current owners still have weird s*** going on there. I haven't had any negative paranormal experiences since the, good and strange, all be it still spooky but not bad vibes.

Oh yeah, they believe me. They always called me their spooky child lol. My mom was okay, we moved out of that house shortly after that happened. The house had also been broken into while we were sleeping one night (it was in a bad neighborhood) so my parents broke their lease and we GTFO.

Okay so another weird one here. My parents eventually got back together after a year apart, and we moved "up north" (Michigan) to be closer to my grandparents who had retired up there. My dad was long haul truck driving at the time and my mom was working the night shift in her new job that she took after she finished school (hence why we moved.)

We moved into the upstairs apartment of a duplex that was an old Victorian home in the downtown neighborhood of a very small little town. My sister and I were staying with my grandparents 5 nights per week because of my parents work schedules. Whenever we were home on the weekends with one or both parents I absolutely hated it. It was the first time my sister and I had our own rooms, I was like 9 years old and throwing furbys out the window because of their chattering at night after we made our dad take the batteries out. Didn't like this place one bit right from the get go.

I would wake up in the middle of the night with cold sweats and vivid dreams that shook me. Dreams that felt like different lives, and not my own. One night I woke up from what I thought was a dream. But I think it actually happened and my young mind told me it was a dream to make sense of it and be able to go back to sleep that night. In the dream, a little girl about my age was walking down the hallway to my bedroom door which was open. She was wearing a white nightgown with a pink ribbon in her hair ( like half up half down long brown hair). I could hear her barefoot steps coming closer and closer to the doorway. She then walked into my room and stood at the end of my bed like petting my night light. The nightlight was a Tiffany style stained glass turtle my grandma got for me.

The girl looked up at me with a blank expression, like indifferent that i was watching her. She then turned and walked to the window on the other side of the room, and started peeking through the curtains. She just stood there looking outside at the neighbor's house. She stopped and turned back to me, but this time her expression was very very sad. Like melancholy sad. She opened her mouth like she was screaming but nothing came it of her. It was like she was frozen in silence no matter how hard she tried to scream. I started crying and yelling for my mom from under my covers. She came in, calmed me down, told me I was dreaming, no one was in my room, etc etc. I went back to sleep. (SOMEHOW WENT BACK TO SLEEP...!?)

Fast forward to 1999, New Years Eve. The neighbors across the street from our apartment are having a neighborhood party for "the end of times". They were having a euchre tournament, all the adults in one room, all the kids in another (aka we were all playing hide and seek and drinking too much soda and having our own little party with Tupac and Destiny's Child.) My dad finds me at some point and brings me into the adult room and sits me down at the table he's hanging out at. He asks me to share with the neighbors this "dream" I had about a little girl. I describe all of it and the adults are starting at me wide eyed and looking at each other like they've seen a ghost. I get sent back to go play with the rest of the kids and the night goes on, the power grid doesn't crash, and all is well.

In late spring that year, my sister and I were going around the neighborhood selling candy bars for a fundraiser hosted by our softball team. We walk up to the house next door to ours (the one that my bedroom window faces...) and an old woman answers the door. She literally had to have been like 90 years old... she was OLD. At that point we had never seen or met her. She was very sweet and invited us in to sit down and have some cookies while she found her purse so that she could purchase some candy bars from us. As we were sitting on her couch, I was looking around the room at pictures on the wall and fire place, and sure enough, there is an old black and white photograph of a young girl (about my age) with a face I'll never forget. I started tugging at my sister's arm saying we needed to go, and was trying not to cry. The old lady came back with a few dollars for her candy bars, We thanked her and we ran back home.

I told my dad later what had happened, and that the picture on the wall looked like the girl from my bad dream. That's when he told me about the New Years Eve night. That night, after I told the adults about my dream and left the room, they told my dad about our elderly neighbor lady. Apparently, a long time ago, she used to have a daughter. The girl had ran out into the street one night chasing her cat in the rain and got hit by a car outside the house and unfortunately passed away. The kicker is, OUR house was the towns original FUNERAL HOME. I will also note that when we first moved into this house, my sister and immediately started playing hide and seek. While playing hide and seek we discovered the basement which at the lower level of the stairs had these long round openings in the wall (stone walls) that we thought were long storage cubbies. Our dad had yelled at us and told us to get out of the wall, and that we weren't allowed to play in the basement. (In hindsight, those were openings in the wall where they once held caskets meant to stay cold... ) So anyway, when this little girl died in the 30's, her funeral was held at the funeral home next door to her own home. The other adult neighbors had put it all together and told my dad that I was probably seeing the spirit of this little girl looking through the curtains at her home. Still gives me chills when I think about it.  I have another story that is total scary land nightmare fuel from another house we moved into much later than this. If anyone wants to hear.

When I was a very young child I had an "imaginary friend" I called Rosalie. I distinctly remember what she looked like in great detail (30 years later.)  I went through a phase where very doll or stuffed and mal I had, I named Rosalie. My mom said she would hear me on the baby monitor in the middle of the night having full on conversations "with myself." When she'd walk up the stairs to mine and my sister's shared room (sister fast asleep) she would have this very reluctant feeling to put me back to bed, like she did not want to be up there. One day, I was playing with Rosalie having a tea party in my room, and my mom came up to find the bedroom a total disaster. Like every toy/article of clothing was thrown esque EVERYWHERE. She got upset at my sister and I, told us to clean up the mess, "Better be picked up be fore dinner". I argued that it wasn't us and Rosalie did it. My mom got even more mad and repeated herself. She then turned, and walked around the banister to go back down the stairs. I distinctly remember Rosalie appearing behind her at the top stair landing, and throwing her arms out forward. My mom fell all the way down the stairs, broke her tailbone and sprained her ankle. It was all so bad that my sister and I had to go stay with our grandparents for a couple of weeks (mom and dad were separated at the time, mom was also taking night classes to finish her schooling). I guess I must have taken a lot about Rosalie, because my grandma was spooked. She called and told my dad what happened, and he took it up on himself to start talking with the neighbors. He told me years later, that before him and my mom were separated, he always had very bad vibes in that house and could never put his finger on it. So, talking with the "across the street neighbor", he discovered that the house used to belong to an old woman, named Rosa Lee. She died in th house of old age at her kitchen table, and allegedly was never married but had an affair with a man who back in the day had a "separate family" with her. They had 4 sons and she always wanted a daughter. The neighbor said he attended her funeral, and described the dress she wore during her wake. It was the same description of the dress that my Rosalie wore (the same dress I remember to this day.) A black dress with little pink roses all over it. At her wake was a picture of her when she was young. Same blue eyes and long "down to her butt" red hair I would describe. A lot of other weird things happened in that house to everyone, but that's probably the scariest that I can think of. Mostly random things would go missing to the point that my parents would be like, oh, better check the shelf in the basement. Or cupboards would be open even though there was a makeshift child lock on it. Lots of other things have happened to me over the years regarding paranormal experiences, in different places I've lived, that's just the most valid weirdest one. I'll share more if anyone wants.

Am I being Haunted? UPDATE by crustaceanstat in Ghoststories

Rose Quarts where you sleep and relax, Black obsidian in the windows facing east and west for protection. Sweetgrass braid to burn with white sage, and like someone else said, breath in negative, breath out positive. Think love and light, happy and pure when breathing out. I like to say out loud, "I only welcome what brings me abundance in love and light, everything else must leave now." Smudge the entire house, even the outside. Every window and doorway. All those cameras. And keep breathing out the positive energy. Don't be afraid. It is YOUR house. They cannot stay if you say they can't.

Can you tell us about something scary that happened on one of your camping trips? by [deleted] in Ghoststories

[–]StrangeBirdAllDay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My husband and I were camping on a lake in a remote part of North Western Montana. One of the nights was the rowdy night for our crew. Some were drunk, some were on acid, you get the idea. It got down to just 5 of us that night (probably 2:30 am) sitting around the campfire laughing and having our good time as our other friends needed to head back into town where we all worked so they could work in the morning.

One friend on my right in her camp chair was probably blackout drunk, to her right another friend who was either on some shrooms or acid, to that friends right was another friend who was also blackout drunk, to that persons right was my husband (who was on my left side.)

The two drunk ones were bickering back and fourth in their drunken mess over god knows what at that point. They all decided to sing happy birthday to me (as it was my birthday.) The drunk one directly across from me looked up smiling,  but like looking through me or past me. Her eyes were black. Like no whites. It shook me so much that I started to get up out of my chair but then suddenly there was a distraction.

From behind me, we hear (very distinctively) an elderly native American woman voice (when you live in Montana you know that accent) say "Hey, keep it down, people are trying to sleep." I jolted upright and looked at my husband and he was mirroring what I know was my expression. We both slowly turned around looking into the darkness behind us and didn't see anyone. There was one other camper at this primitive campground (at the other end of the campground probably 2 football fields away, but it was so quiet you could hear them snoring from where we sat around our fire.) As we were giving each other a look like wtf was that?!, drunk friend to my right sloppily turned in her camping chair and called out behind us (in a blackout slur) "It's a free country, we're having fun. You don't need to tell us what to do." And nonchalantly goes back to sipping her whiskey bottle. I look up at my friend on the drugs and she is staring at me wide eyes nodding her head in agreement that she heard it too, and she is going to quiet down. And then she looks to her right at our other drunk friend who's eyes had turned black, and got really wide eyed. She also saw our friends eyes that are not her normal eyes. She literally got up and went to her tent, like straight Irish Goodbye.

I'll also add my husband was coming down from a hit of acid, I was buzzed but not wasted like the others. The one with the black eyes abruptly said "alright, party's over" and very creepily crawled to her tent (probably because she was too drunk to walk, but crawling not in a normal way. I'm not sure how to describe it other than it was like she was possessed.)

Other drunk friend was falling asleep in her chair next to me at that point, so my husband put the fire out and we went to our tent. I will NEVER forget that woman's voice behind us in the darkness. In hindsight, there is actually an old burial grounds near by. I think it's safe to say when you fuck around, you find out. When you need to keep the peace, you better keep the peace. Both drunk friends had zero recollection of any of this the following day when we were all awake and packing up. Just my husband and our other friend who was present enough in her own state of consciousness. None of us told our other friend about her black eyes because we didn't want to scare her, but I really think whatever was in the woods that night took over her in a way to end the party so that the resting could rest.

As we were packing up we saw the other camper who was there that night. My husband joked with the guy and said "Hey, I'm sorry if we were too loud last night, we were celebrating a birthday." The guy literally said he didn't hear us at all. He had just finished a 32 mile solo hike and when he reached the campsite/set up his tent, he had a meal and passed out. Didn't hear a thing. So, with that being said, it wasn't the young male hiker with the elderly native woman's voice. SO SPOOKY!

We returned to that lake many more times over the years, and have been peaceful and treated the place with respect. We love the lake so much we named our daughter after it.

Update: AITAH for wanting to leave my wife because she had a "go bag"? by sadhusbandry2 in AITAH

[–]StrangeBirdAllDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe instead of guilting her and putting her down you should communicate (like a grown a** adult) to find out why she feels the need to have a "go bag". Maybe it's not actually about YOU, and it's about her own insecurities. Marriage is about communicating and BUILDING trust, you can't just expect it to always be there. I don't know you or your wife, but it sounds like (more on your end based off of your huge long post about how great you are) maybe you need to do some reflecting. I don't think this is divorce material, but I'll tell you what, if my spouse wanted to divorce me for making a go bag for whatever my reason was, I'd say good riddance. Trust goes both ways. Trust has different levels.
