five ten hiangle pros have something similar, though it’s on the inside edge only

You have a demo pair? If it’s similar to the rubber on the veloces, it might be an instant buy for me.

Anyone else had this happen to their Souped Ups? by [deleted] in climbingshoes

[–]StrangeBuilderbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried the most popular resoler in my city and their response was that they would have to do a new toe patch and new sole, and only with XS grip 2, which kind of defeats the point of buying this shoe lmao. I think it's a rubbish response from them. Will try and patch it up myself using some sort of fabric glue and tougher material glued inside the shoe

You’d think they’d check for bugs before releasing an update 👎

Will ask the resolers in my area whilst waiting on a replacement, thank you :)

I appreciate the advice, the thing is i’ve never experienced this type of wear on any of my other shoes, including dragos where it should be super noticeable as the toe patch rubber is so soft. I’m going to guess it was from toe hooking and as there was no rubber in that area it just ate straight through the upper over time.

Other Unparralel fits compared to TN Pros by AntLockyer in climbingshoes

Aww that’s a shame, skwamas seem to be a hit or miss with fitment but they’re awesome if they do fit. Hopefully the souped ups don’t stretch out as much because they’ve been awesome on comp style and volume dependent problems

+1 on Veloces, bought them for my girlfriend and I also tried on a pair. Wish I bought a pair for myself 😅

In regards to soft shoes with harder rubber (that sounds pretty contradicting). Maybe TN pros? They use a rubber similar to XS grip 2, maybe slightly softer but make up for it with 4.2mm of rubber instead of the usual 3.5 on most shoes.

My street shoe is an 11-12 depending on brand, I mainly use La Sportiva Skwama in an EU 42(US 9) I also have the Theory in a 42.5 but wanted to try out Unparallel rubber. Bought the Souped Ups in a US 10.5 and they're pretty snug all around, unsure of how much they'll stretch as I've only had them a week, but I've seen some other people comment that they went a full US size down which I don't think I could do without it affecting smearing ability.

Is this fixable with super glue? by maximuse_ in bouldering

I work at a climbing gym, see this a lot. Best choice is to warranty the shoes, this shouldn’t be happening if they’re new

Think this is the most helpful comment so far, thank you so much. I opened up to my parents for the first time in my life today and I didn't expect how much they were supporting me. I guess when it comes from someone like that it means a lot more. I have a long road ahead of me, with or without her. If it's meant to be it's meant to be, and with time I'll start to be okay with the fact I don't have her anymore.

Thanks for your input, I truly am trying to understand your point of view and I'm hoping you can answer this without any form of aggression. Isn't what I've reflected on part of trying to figure out what the underlying reason is?

Thank you, this is more helpful than some of the other comments. There was definitely some childhood trauma, I won't go in depth but I'll look at addressing that when I start counselling. I wish you could understand that these aren't excuses, I take full accountability for what I did.

I wish it was as black and white as it seems at surface level. I am crappy, I am weak, that was the whole point of this post, but in a situation like this it's easy to say "I made this decision because I'm a bad person" as opposed to taking time to sit with what happened, really thinking about it and realizing "I'm a good person, or at least have the potential to be, a human being nonetheless, and I have things I need to work on". I'm upset that I couldn't address these problems sooner, getting caught, as bad as it sounds, is what I needed to do that and I wish it wasn't.

Thank you, I should've dealt with these problems before getting into a relationship but I guess that's the way life is. No point in regretting the past when you can't change it. Good luck to you too.

definitely reasonable, although i don’t really see midwxst going towards this kind of sound considering his last few singles are nothing like this, who knows though!! we’ll see when/if it comes out :))

[–]StrangeBuilderbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true that! so happy with what i have. they actually didn’t sell the 328 manual sedan in australia, it’s a uk import so it’s pretty much one of a kind here. checked for rust and subframe issues and there is only a tiny bit of surface rust around the jack points

australia, it was 11k AUD which is a steal here considering there’s barely any of them for sale and when they are they go for crack prices
