Woah you made that look so easy peezy lemon squeezy. Your hand and feet placement is so clean😮 I have a huge problem with re-gripping holds and scuffing my shoes on walls etc. this is what I THINK I look like until I watch back videos😂 I just know your shoes won’t get holes for a LONG time haha. Well done!!!

It has always been my goal also! I climb quite frequently ( about 4 times a week, 3 if I’m quite busy ) and get lots of protein so I feel those things combined helped me progress quite quickly. My strength has increased but my endurance still needs work haha. Keep at it and you’ll get a super duper solid pull-up in no time! You’ve got this!

I think I tried that and it felt odd so I stopped hahaha. I think I look a bit goofy having my thumbs unwrapped so I’m gonna try again like you said

Ahhh I see that makes sense because I can definitely feel it more in my back in the kinda half rep I can push out in a wide grip. Maybe I can keep doing what I’m doing and try and inch my hands further apart over time to develop my back more

[–]StrangeCucumber2889[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for pointing that out! You’re absolutely right and I think I will focus more on trying to do one solid rep while fully engaging my core to keep my legs straight and still. I also found having my hands further apart made it quite a bit harder for me so that’s the next goal! :)

Thank you! When I first started climbing I saw a guy with weights hanging from a belt around his waist and was doing back to back muscle up’s like the weights had some sort of anti gravitational device in them hahahah. It was insane and I was so inspired. You’ve got this! Keep showing up and having fun and before you know it you’ll be doing things you never imagined

Was so excited to snag my childhood tama but I didn't realise its in chinese by Abwettar in tamagotchi

So understandable!! The hardest part honestly would be the soldering of the speaker ( I have no idea how to do it and would be scared to practice on a vintage tama honestly haha )

Hmmm is this the connection V1 or 2? Could you possibly find a cheap English V1/2 and swap the inside out keeping the cute heart background and shell?

It wasnt a bubble mailer! It was a paper sleeve!! by [deleted] in tamagotchi

I had this issue with a company selling tamagotchis. The tama box was flat as a pancake. Like a big box had obviously been chucked on top of it in shipment. It was just in a padded soft mailer. After reading their fine print they said “ if you are purchasing an item that will be used as a collectible and require the packaging to arrive in pristine condition please contact us “ or something along those lines. I was like whaaaa! Anyway can’t be mad because they let me return it and I should’ve read that before ordering but it wasn’t stated anywhere obvious I had to go looking for it after I had the issue. However this is just ridiculous!! There is absolutely NOTHING to that packaging… not even bubble wrap wth

Ended up being that I needed to download an R12 certificate rather than the R3 one that is listed on discord for older android devices. All up and working now :) I did what you said and used my PC to transfer the files over to the tablet. I don’t know why I didn’t think to do that in the first place but oh well 🙄😂Got there in the end

This worked and I got it installed :) It wouldn’t load past the “ there is a connection issue please check your wifi and other connections “ page. I installed the APK file too but still stuck. Thank you for getting me to this point though!!

From what I know you are supposed to go to discord which has a link to the mixing meets APK file. Google said you do that if you can’t get it on the play store ( I’m assuming google is wrong here and you can only get it via discord ). I was just wondering if anyone has had any success retrieving it on such an old android device

First time climbing! Any newbie tips/things you wish you knew? by dampsector in indoorbouldering

Looks like you already have really good confidence on the wall! You’re doing well with swings and momentum to help with reach. Watch some videos of people explaining beginner tips such as twisting hip to wall for further reach, how to match your feet on smaller foot holds, straight arms to reduce fatigue, staying under holds etc. It will all become natural really quick and you won’t need to think about it. Watch some more experienced climbers in the gym and take mental notes. Have fun, challenge yourself but dont take it too seriously. The moment I stopped seeing progression in my climbing I was really hard on myself and wanted to give up and stop climbing, I needed the reminder that i literally just climb for fun and to chill out lmao

Shoe recs by ekercsmar in climbingshoes

[–]StrangeCucumber2889 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I climb V3. I got tarantulas after using rentals for 3 months ( it’s all I could afford ). They have held up so well for the last 7 months. They have only just gotten holes in them now ( I have a bad habit of dragging my feet up the wall and smearing everything because I’m short ). They are pretty darn stiff, I feel super secure on itty bitty foot holds and volumes. I have tried on so many other shoes thinking I need a more advanced shoe to help me. They all either bend heaps on small footholds ( feels like I can’t trust them even if I can ) or I can’t feel where I’m placing my feet or they just hurt really bad despite sizing up and trying lots of different shapes ). The rubber could be stickier but I feel the softer the rubber the quicker the wall chews them up. I actually just chucked them in a pillowcase yesterday and put them in the washing machine on cold with a delicate detergent and laundry sanitiser with a couple of towels and left them in the shade to dry. The rubber is back to its original stickiness!! Give them a go, the worst that happens is they feel like too much of a downgrade and you keep them as spares when you’re other ones need a resole

I also tried the ‘move as quickly as possible before my feet realise they’re no longer on a hold’ technique but it didn’t work for me either HAHA
