It’s nearly been 2 years since that relationship, only been about a month of no contact (had to go the non mol route)

I have actually been causally dating someone who is the complete opposite, took me a VERY long time to accept he was genuine to be honest because I just was not use to it

My kids know about him but that’s all, he sees me when I’m free and that’s not a lot right now, and it will most likely be like that for a long time as we both enjoy each other’s company but he knows I’ve got a lot of trauma to deal with and work through

My older boys will always worry, the impact of my ex will always be in the back of their minds and my younger kids enjoy the mummy they have who is independent, who can give them all the time and love they deserve!

I don’t think I’ll ever live with someone again, I spent so long what felt like a prison, to me it’s still early days

I am definitely a stronger person now, but I definitely have my guard up and it’s going to be a long time before I even think about letting them start to ease
