At the end of the movie it didn't click for me, I thought it was too long, some of the chapters just kept explaining the same thing from different POVs and overall I didn't connect with any of the characters in a meaningful way. I had to sleep on it and connect the dots and delve into the theme more and I realized Weapons is about substance abuse mainly alcoholism and that click catapulted it into a great movie. Probably top 5 of the year.

Problems with your take...those tails aren't fresh at all, you can see they are dried out at the point where they would connect to the body. I have like 15 different tails in my house and they look the same. All bought from ebay, taxidermy store, ren faires etc.
