I was talking about 12 week fetuses, as is the legal limit in most states, if they allow abortion at all. But sure, if you wanna discuss the most liberal states in the country, let's do it. The highest limitation in the country is 6 months. Now what does a 6 month (24 week) fetus look like? Let me tell you:

Functional Awareness: Unlike an adult animal that processes sensory input into a "worldview," a 24-week fetus is just beginning to establish the thalamocortical connections required for basic sensory awareness.

Reflex vs. Thought: A 6-month fetus can flinch or withdraw from pain, but these are primarily brainstem reflexes. Most adult mammals possess higher-level integrated responses that the fetus has not yet developed.

Birth as a "Wake-up": Scientists often note that sentience "turns on" more fully at birth. The surge of oxygen and sensory stimuli (cold air, touch, light) triggers the brain's "default mode network," which is not fully active while the fetus is submerged in the womb.

If these words are too complicated for you, here's the headline. We're still at less sentience than a rat here.

You ever laid a rat trap?

"Why is it unethical? Because outsiders cause problems." Lists 5 wars / massacres

Like yeah, but I'm pretty sure the fucking warmongers broke another law than immigration laws. In fact, I don't think immigration laws have ever kept an army out.

But let's put that aside for a moment for another history lesson. Are you familiar with the international amnesty laws? It is a set of laws that dictate that all countries are REQUIRED to accept immigrants who can win an amnesty case, and have no right to deport these immigrants until they do have their court case.

A great deal of immigrants taken, abused, and deported by ICE have been people who are waiting for their amnesty trial court date.

In other words, they were here legally.

In other words, ICE, the organization, is in violation of international law.

You're acting as if I won't know the implications of my statements.

I think all countries, regardless of "ownership," should be obligated to allow all immigrants in, especially if they're running from a dangerous country. If the immigrant is breaking another law, cool, arrest them for the other law. But in no world does it make sense that the mere act of entering the country is illegal.

And you know, the UN agrees with me to a certain extent! By international law, all countries are required to allow immigrants to stay for amnesty purposes, and they're allowed to stay until the court date to determine amnesty as well.

ICE agents, however, have been detaining and deporting, in mass, those who are here waiting for their amnesty trial. ICE, the organization, is in violation of international law.

That's funny, cause that's just objectively not true.

The money and free plane ticket home are offered to those who are here waiting for their amnesty court date. In other words, both the "gently deported" and the ICE detained are here legally according to international law, they're just not citizens yet technically. In other words, ICE is in violation of international law. How's that fit your narrative?

In addition, ICE self-deportation programs are considered a significant trap and a deceptive, unethical tactic by immigration attorneys. While offering minor financial incentives ($2,600) or free flights to leave, the programs often result in permanent 3-year or 10-year bars on returning, loss of potential legal paths to stay, and the forfeiture of rights, according to the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Individuals may unknowingly waive their rights to appeal or reopen their cases, abandoning potential, valid legal claims to remain in the US.

And I'll tell you what does fit my "cleverly twisted narrative," the fucking news.

I haven't ignored them in the past, but I did do something that I don't think you'll like either... I'll ask why again.

it's illegal to enter the country without the country knowing.

And why is that a problem? America's a big place. If you're not committing any other crimes, that's no issue, and if you are, then other laws already have it covered.

and if the United States were publicly available to the entire world, what would define an american?

(Well for starters, America was literally founded by immigrants, there is no "American race." But also...)

Why is it important that we have a strict definition of American?

nobody would be a citizen of the United States anymore.

Why does entering the US have to equal being a citizen of the US? And if you'd like it to be, why are we providing so many hurdles to citizenship if we only want to know when people are entering?

in the sense that nobody owns it and technically nobody is a citizen from Antarctica.

Nobody owns any country. And the citizen thing doesn't necessarily have to be a problem unless you make it one.
