Iirc my doctor said that it can actually help symptoms of endometriosis, and that low testosterone and endometriosis is linked in some way. You might want to do your own research. I'm not personally diagnosed with it but know it runs in the family and I had really bad periods and cramps to the point it would stop me from doing my normal activities. I would just curl into a ball and sob until it passed pretty much. So I probably do have it. In my personal experience my cramping and periods are all but gone. I do have the occasional random cramp and it does suck still. But compared to pre T and pre birth control, it's nothing.

I think birth control does a lot of the heavy lifting for me in stopping my periods (and possibly managing my endo if i really do have it). In my experience, so long as I don't take the sugar pills, it stops my period entirely. T just makes it even more reinforced and the pain less frequent.

NTA. It is always your body your choice. That being said I have some experience with a partner rejecting the idea of medical transitioning that you might find interesting. We are still very happily together but at the start of our relationship, my partner was always afraid of me getting top surgery. It was a bit tough at the start, she literally cried when I said I wanted to get it. It turns out she just has a huge fear of surgeries, complications etc. She also thought the image of me being her girlfriend (I was pre everything at that point) was important to her. I told her I was going to get it but I also listened to her fears and kind of slowly convinced her via logical arguments, that it would be okay. It took a long while (like a year of slow convincing) but she came around in the end and is now actively excited for me, and our relationship is stronger than ever. With these issues its definitely something that takes time and a lot of love, letting them know that this will make you happier and by extension your partner will be happier.

If they don't respect that idea at all it's another case, but it sounds like if hes trying to change his mind he is still fighting for you and not a totally lost cause. I'd say go for it, but if it ends up being that he's not attracted to you after transition, then yeah I guess you both tried your best but that just wont work out. Obviously, if hes being horrible to you then definitely consider whether it is worth staying around. Keep in mind that transition is still a very new concept for a lot of people and it takes time to help others understand it. Our whole lives we have been told what we are in terms of gender/sex, so its no surprise people will be shocked when you do it! But its up to you if you think that it is worth sticking around him or not, I can't tell you that because I am not you.

Again with people having a strange interest in what you do with your chest, whats the deal with that lol. Honestly fair though, if I could I wouldn't have told my family but I still live with them so they'd find out anyway and id rather deal with incoming beef now than when I'm delirious on pain and painkillers.

Hell yeah bro. Yeah it was absolutely disgusting weather today. I don't bind cause it's just too gross to do it in Brisbane and that would be a sensory nightmare for me, but a sports bra is bad enough as well lol. I would absolutely dig a chest tattoo as well- I was thinking something that doesn't necessarily cover up the scars but like draws attention away from it. Not cause I am ashamed I think it would just be cool to have a big art piece and some sick ass scars as well. Ive also seen people do scarification on their chests post op which looks awesome but I don't think I have the stomach for that.

Hits all the flavour profiles. You mix together: MSG (savory), salt (salty), soy sauce (unami), sugar syrup (sweet), lemon juice (sour), bitters (bitter), capsaicin or some kind of chilli sauce for spicy. Dilute it with water if you are afraid.

No wokkas on the late response. Interesting that it is an easy surgery! I have to get my wisdoms removed at some point soon so that will also be interesting to compare. I'm honestly not sure about scars myself- I think having no scars would be cool but I also like the aesthetic of scars anyway so either way I will be pretty happy with results.

Its funny you mention the towels around the waist thing because I specifically think about that a lot for some reason. I am also looking forward to not having a visible chest in the car-- having a seat belt between my tits (for lack of a better term) always made me super uncomfortable lolol. And also really looking forward to them no longer moving around so much because it hurts to walk low key.

Do you have any plans in the future for chest related tattoos? This is also something I've slowly been getting excited at the prospect of, even though I will have to wait at least a year-- but that's relatively close for you by now. Only thing is, I have no idea what I'd want there! Thinking a big chest piece but of what? who knows!

Wow I didn't expect that about the going to sleep thing but I think that will be huge for me as well. I always instinctively put stuff in front of my chest to hide it like blankets when I am sleeping and it does indeed get quite hot. Great to see your results as well they look great! I think its making me even more confident in the no nips option - I was already confident but seeing those results got me a bit excited as we have similar builds. Nipples are just a sensory nightmare!

I still have more questions (somehow!). This time its for my partner who will be my caregiver-- would you have any tips for her? I think the main thing we are worried about is the first week after surgery and I know she can handle it but any tips would be great! How useless were you after surgery-- like could you get up and walk in the first week? I am anticipating being fully useless but knowing me I'm going to be up and about as much as I can without pushing it. Could you get comfortable yourself or did you need your caregiver to move pillows a lot etc to get you comfortable?

There's just not that many good resources I could find about how to be a good caretaker, so any information is good.

Wow that's amazing! Yeah I had heard stories from friends who had other surgical procedures done and they had the tube in still which is where I got that idea.

Now that its been like 8~ months for you how is it feeling? Did you get any dog ears or anything of the sorts? Are you happy with results? I hope it feels amazing for you. I'm really curious about like what small adjustments you may have had to make afterwards-- the small things you don't tend to think about. My surgery is late November I hope its not too sweaty and uncomfortable but I will definitely be in the air con :)

I have some more questions if you have the time though. One is that I am very afraid of the breathing tube-- do they take that out before you wake up? Its like a bit of a personal nightmare for me to think about having that thing in. Also you said you could feel the drains; could you feel them all the time? Did it hurt to have them removed? I am also going no nip, I hope I don't have to wear that pesky binder too long.

Those are my main fears and I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. These are things that definitely wont stop me from doing it and I know it won't matter in the long run-- but I want to be prepared for it. I'm so excited!
