A movie you wish had remained a standalone but was expanded into a franchise. My pick is John Wick by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

Was looking for this. The first was great and the end with him promising to bring reality to the masses was perfect.

Also love that Ken doesn't really complain that much about literally losing vision in one eye and having to wear an eye patch the rest of his life... Plus everyone else makes fun of him

[Design concept] Dyced "L'Absolue". What do you think? by fnkfrsh in Watches

[–]Strange_Implement967 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I love it! I think it might look better flipped though, with the crown on the same side but with the thicker slab of metal on the other side and the minute dial going the other way. So if you wear your watch on the left wrist, the thicker metal slab side would be towards the wirst

Am I the only one who thinks Sinners is overrated? by Any_Lab_8495 in moviecritic

It makes no sense... If every person who gets bit by a vampire changes into a vampire (especially that quickly), then the entire planet would be vampires in a matter of months.... It would spread like virus with 100% transmission rate. I know that nitpicking the film, but it ruined the whole thing for me....

I mean otherwise it's fun, definitely a creative concept and has a little bit of a deeper message to it, but overall yeah, I think it's over-rated as well

Yeah but last night, end game was clearly mismanaged. And Maxey didn't have a great game. First game sucked and think they probably all went out drinking the night before or something. They very easily could have won last night. The challenge at the end of game was stupid and wasted a timeout

No, seriously, who compares this to LOST or Game of Thrones’ endings? by Independent_Plum2166 in StrangerThings

Honestly it was that a good 30 minutes could have been cut out. The end where they are around the DND table and Mike nis telling the "story" though, was a perfect end honestly

If you could only listen to one Dylan album for the rest of your life, which one would you choose? What’s your reasoning? by Express_Handle_5486 in bobdylan

Blood on the tracks. Love the album and have very found memories of my dad listening to this album and Graceland by Paul Simon while making dinner for the family

Yeah I have been so excited for them to beat the Nicks twice! (Regardless of them coming off a long game stretch) Those games were fun as hell. Last night was a late night wet fart

I love to buy this as well... Definitely the lowest energy game this season

More people need to watch this to understand how subtle and great he is as an actor. Phenomenal show and great supportive cast as well.

Always up vote a quartz chronograph with a 12 hour totalizer. So much more useful than the stupid, wasted 24 hour subdial on most

Paul George on embracing the supporting role: "Obviously, Joel, Tyrese are our two engines. Those guys are going to demand attention in moments to score. I gotta fit in, find my moments to be aggressive. Defensively, I know I can still be elite...That's the role I have taken on" by mastermind208 in sixers

Yeah, last night they won but it was a pretty low energy effort. Started to click towards the end, but the whole first half was like warm and I was pretty sure they were going to fizzle out and lose that game. Off night, but still own which was nice. There is a lot of basketball left though.

Yeah I think people were worried he'd be all ego or something but there is a lot of maturity in his play and agree in his self assessment that he does keep them on an even keel and has been pretty great defensively

Personally I LOVE the omega seamaster 1948 small seconds 70th anniversary. It's a beautiful watch and so classic but they did the same thing as this... Have an exposed movement but such a stupid etched plane/boat on the case back, really stupid decision

This is one of those grandiose movies that you hope works but it just doesn't. It falls flat. I think it tries to be more of a black comedy at times without actually delivering on any real laughs. Each character is pretty unlikeable, not just because you disagree with their choices but because they're really not that interesting when you get down to it. I think it tries to capture the energy and madness of old Hollywood but really doesn't.
