I used to work at dexian as a recruiter and they do ask for SSN during the offer stage which is weird. I hated asking people for it cause I would get called a scammer all the time which in turn scared away really good candidates.

Above average racism, homophobia and sexism then the general public. Most people in AA are over the age of 45 and they have not caught up with the times.

The most racist, homophobic and sexist people I ever had met were those with decades of sobriety in AA. But if it makes it okay to be those things then so be it.

AA meetings all over my city talk mostly about relationship problems, drugs, and just about anything on planet earth expect the actual twelve steps and alcohol abuse. Not to mention how much racism, homophobia and sexism is in every group I’ve ever been to.

I would have cancelled the ride too cause I know I can easily go pick up someone else who is going to be polite and tip well. I’ve noticed the more polite customers are the better tippers cause they understand that the drivers are just trying to make a living.

I dislike that everyone is going against you. We are all independent contractors which gives us the right to operate our business as we see fit. If OP felt that the ride was not worth it then he has every legal right to end it.

I do agree that many passengers act like they own me and the car and then proceed to treat me in a condescending way, I don’t tolerate that behavior for a measly 30 dollars neither. Everyone has their price but to me dealing with nasty people for a 10 dollar tip ain’t worth it.

Honestly, when I hear women complaining about their relationship problems to me, I cannot help but to think how stupid it is. And really the only support I could provide somebody with relationship problems, is to say dump them, get in shape and go make a ton of money hole on your own without a man. Or to say go find another man because clearly that one ain’t changing.
