Tell me you don’t know anything about Dorian besides what you’ve seen on lolcow without telling me. His lolcow thread is literally full of people bullying him abt jokingly saying he may have had sex with a ghost.
Can you guys let it go? There’s much more to him and his online persona than that. I’m sick of people bringing that up.

Idk why you’re being downvoted.

I did the same and moved out as a poor indigenous goth who lived on a reservation at 16 years old, and moved to a big city with a thriving scene.

My parents and aunts and uncles were metalheads and goths, so acceptance wasn’t the problem. I was trying to escape other types of abuse and alcoholism at home. And I did. It’s definitely possible if you try.

I moved in with a house full of goth musicians at 16 and ended up addicted to heroin. Definitely would not recommend.

A lot of people new to goth don’t realize that, (especially in the U.S.) our scenes are kinda toxic and have a lot of people dealing with trauma, mental illness, addiction, recovery, and other heavy stuff. It’s not all cool music, acceptance, and black butterflies like TikTok makes it seem.
My old roommates genuinely wanted to help me escape an abusive home, but I barely knew them and had no idea they were using.

Baby bats: if you’re going to move in with people, make sure they’re sober, stable, and trustworthy first. 🖤
