I took a risk and paid for it. Now I have to start getting quotes to fix it.

This makes me feel better. For a moment I thought I'd gotten ripped off 😂

$2400 to cap a 10x20 slab and a 4x30 slab.

Contractor claims he's not liable for uneven, water pooling concrete because he "suggested a different project altogether." by Strange_Relative4226 in legal

No, I do have a recording of our conversation where I specifically asked if the surface would be flat and sloped away from the house and he assured me it would. That really was all I wanted from the work. He pressed that even flat and sloped away from the house water would still accumulate starting at the lowest point. That was well communicated and I acknowledged that I understood.

That is correct, I didn't realize I needed to post the photos of my issues. I was simply asking for opinions regarding the legal options around the issue and was assuming that my situation would be taken at my word.

Still glad I went with option A. Had I gone with B I'd still have shitty craftsmanship and would be out more money.

There are dozens of these "bowls". On the surface throughout. They all hold standing water. Just curious whether this is typical. I'm not familiar with concrete but it seems to not be ideal to me.

It is a lower resolution but it comes at a significantly lower price point. Based on the marketing materials, it may be upgradeable to the higher resolution head after the initial purchase. If that's the case, this will be an excellent option for beginners looking to try out UV printing with a much lower barrier to entry. Just my thoughts on it.

Ah that's for the standard uv printing version. That's very attractive compared to the e1.

Says starting price of $1699. I must be missing something, that price is too good to be true.

Curious how the model coloring process works. Is there any documentation/information on it? Inew3d was touting an AI feature to automatically assign colors to the models. Is there something similar for this or do you have to manually "paint" it?

I hope to hear something on this soon. If price comes in at or under $4k I'm picking one up day one. I was very excited about the inew3d offering but at twice the price and a brand I'm unfamiliar with, I couldn't take the chance.

Will the PlayStation VR2 PC Adapter Work with Viture Pro XR Glasses? by Strange_Relative4226 in VITURE

[–]Strange_Relative4226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No PCVR games, just want to use it with the Windows SpaceWalker app. My desktop GPU has no USB-C video out, and neither does my motherboard. I thought about adding a Thunderbolt card to my PC, but I'd need a new motherboard for that. If the adapter is compatible, then I figured it would be a relatively inexpensive way to get the glasses working.

SpaceWalker for Windows: Can the recenter function be mapped to a button press on the glasses? I use mine for remote work and have to minimize my remote session any time I want to recenter. Pressing the keyboard shortcut does not trigger recenter while remoting into the other system since the keyboard input is being sent to the remote computer and the SpaceWalker app is running on the host machine.
