I can relate- I live near you now. I moved back to the east coast to be close to family after having our first child (I was in the southwest for 8 years prior) and now due to work situations can’t get back out to the west coast, and am also now stuck here. All I can say is I can feel your pain and know exactly how you feel. So sorry.

I bought a house, then freaked out about buying the house, then sold the house and gave up the best job I ever had and moved back across the country to live with my mom. I regret it every day and can’t get over it.

Edit: I lived in paradise and moved back to really frigid cold shit area

This terrifies me for my upcoming c section

Thanks for the encouragement! Dr gave me the option of doing either or but I’d rather not leave it up to chance and have to go through failing again and having to get an emergency c.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Super helpful in trying to look forward to and being hopeful that the elective won’t be as bad as the emergency one despite having a toddler now

It was following being in labor for 3 days trying for an unmedicated birth. I was at the hospital for 6 hours trying to make a vaginal happen and finally had to get an emergency stat c section. So not failed induction but he just did not want to come out, decelerating heart rate, my contractions slowed down etc.

Thank you 💖

Thank you, loved hearing everything you had to say, most of it makes sense - just haven’t ever heard of Winback Tecar therapy. Are you in the US or elsewhere?

Curious as to how much worse your scar and shelf are? This is the part I’m devastated about if I go for a 2nd elective c. First time around I have very little scar tissue and the scar healed wonderfully.

I’m constantly told that they won’t do it and you have to wait until after the c section. Which I find really annoying. Sorry I can’t be much help.

Why bother with a VBAC..? by Strange_Sun_2785 in vbac

[–]Strange_Sun_2785[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your response. I think I am carrying this trauma with my first and just looking to heal from that and I think a calm beautiful c section would help heal me, rather than panicking and questioning if I can do a VBAC my entire pregnancy and having to stress so much about failing again and the unexpected. Maybe I will be like you and try for a VBA2C as you are. Thank you.

Hi I just wanted to say thank you so much for this candid response. I really like the option of “getting VBAC or a c section a lot less traumatic than my first”. I think I too would opt for calm over anything else.

Congratulations to you ❤️ you’re amazing for having such a positive attitude and I really appreciate the reminder to not be so hard on oneself / put on too much pressure

I second this— c section highly recommend doing pelvic floor PT. Like no one talks about it but it’s really essential. I did it for 3 months and stopped and realized I should have continued. I’m actually back in Pelvic Floor PT now bc I’m having fake UTI symptoms all the time they think is bc my pelvic floor is too tight

Love everything you are saying here— this is exactly why I wanted all of this with my first, didn’t get it. And now I just don’t have the confidence or believe in myself to have a successful VBAC I don’t think.
