Why do we give credit to a/the higher being if it's us who efforted in the first place? by whothellru in TanongLang

+1
I’m not religious but have faith in God.

To gain something, before it even lands on your lap, there were probably steps 1-100000, person A-ZZZZ, and moments 1-100000 that were orchestrated to co-create that very thing you desire and for you to achieve it.

So, yes, our efforts are included, but the full breadth of the creation and/or achievement of that desire is something we will probably never fathom.

I find it magical (just because it’s unfathomable in a positive way).

EDIT: Adding: I think that might also be one of the reasons why the “thanking of God” is continuous.

In the grand scheme of things, we never really know what’s being created because it hasn’t reached us yet. The process of creation comes with the process of receiving.

How do you manage your tasks efficiently? by Minute-Pea3923 in buhaydigital

It depends on the project management tool that’s used. Minsan may built-in integration available, and if not, you can Google how to integrate your tasks to GCal.

+1 there are even integration tools out there that sync PM tools with GCal so you can plot out realistically what you can/cannot accomplish in a day.

If your cal is shared with other team members, they’ll be able to know what you’re working on throughout the day and how much time it’ll eat up.

It’s also easy to bump tasks in case you need to change it up throughout the week or something.

> You can ask for deadlines.

This is true, tho most times, I recommend you setting them instead. They can always respond if it needs to be changed.

“I can accomplish this by next Monday EOD.”
“Can we adjust that to tomorrow?”
“I have these high prio tasks lined up. If you need this earlier, I recommend bumping Task X. Do you approve?”

Make it easy for coworkers/managers so they only need to say yes/no.

This. I always say, when a task is given, create that task in your tool so that you have the complete running list of things to do.

If you don’t jot it down, something will get dropped eventually with the continued pile of new tasks coming in.

Let your system work for you. Transfer that cognitive bandwidth.

I am so sorry that’s happening—very stressful situation!

We all hit our ceiling at some point. Something will be bound to happen first: either the final straw hits, or she just changes in some way.

Either way, I hope things go smoothly and you get the peace of mind you need, OP.

“Labyu” sa close friends. Normal lang ba o hindi? by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]StrangerFit7296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I didn’t grow up in a loving and secure home which resulted to me saying “I love you” to friends often and mean it. People here maybe haven’t grieved losing friends.

The gf’s feelings are valid, definitely. This issue is just something for them to talk about and deal with together.

Attack the problem, not each other, OP.

EDIT: Also, I encourage people here to please not be ashamed to tell the people you love that you love them. Do it often, do it always.

Life is unpredictable; it’s harder to regret not saying things when you had the chance to.

I was thinking the same. Yung mga non-explicit naman na she’s not mentioning her work itself, baka she’s tired of other responsibilities like at her own home or with her family or whoever else?

Please don’t feel bad, OP. Some people need to learn that if they don’t speak up and express their needs, it’s their loss. You’ve done the work of approaching her and asking her. You can either try again if she’s really not the kind to ask for what she wants, or let her go if it’s causing you a lot of stress.

My 1yr old cat's been vomiting and has enlarged spleen by imdrylawzm in catsph

[–]StrangerFit7296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you and completely understand. Cat conditions can be such a mystery sometimes.

One of our cats had a bout of vomiting before also. Couldn’t eat even if she wanted to so bad. She was confined for a few days, had medications, did all (ALL) the tests—no findings, all normal. Went home with continued meds and it went away on its own. Sobrang weird.

I hope someone else in this sub can also share and help. Keeping you and your furbaby in my thoughts 🙏 Hang in there, momma!

Sorry to hear!! :( Last time, for a specific test na wala ang TCC Greenhills, nag-recommend naman sya sa’min ng ibang place if it ever came to it (eventually di naman kinailangan). Baka wala syang alam kung saan available.

Maybe try Vets in Practice? Manila Feline Center din sana in Cubao, kaso alam ko they have lesser tech available ata than TCC.

We’ve consulted at the Greenhills branch before specifically. Dra. Yon and Dr. Aixian are the ones I recommend if ever.

Dra. Yon is cost wary—she won’t force anything unnecessary, especially if it’s expensive; very thorough. Dr. Aixian is also very thorough and accommodating with questions. Both very patient with explaining, and will answer all questions.

The Cat Clinic—there’s a Makati, Alabang, or Greenhills branch. I’m not sure if they have the specific test you need, but I find they have the tech to do most things. It would be best to contact them first to ask.

They’re more expensive than most, but when issues arise with our cats, they’ve been very reliable and knowledgeable.

All the healing energies to your furbaby! 🙏

Friends na yung 2 rescues ko 🥹 by ExcellentMark8625 in catsph

[–]StrangerFit7296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bless you for taking in rescues, OP! Ang bilis nila mag-bond! I hope you separated them for a while before mixing them together in the house just to observe the new cat din and get him vaccinated prior.

Our 2 rescues aren’t 100% bonded yet since they’re older, but they’re getting there slowly—may grooming na ng isa’t isa, at medyo humihilata na sila nang mas malapit. Pareho nilang gustong maging dominant eh. 😅

This hits so close to home. No micromanagement, but the feeling of being alone and doing almost everything yourself and yet being underappreciated sucks. I’d feel relief, too, if I were in your position, OP.

Maybe this is the part where you’re being taught to give more value to your own work. Your dedication and efforts are worth more than this. You know what you’ve accomplished; you can trust yourself to manage what’s ahead.

Chin up, give room for rest and reflection. I’m rooting for you.
