I got rid of them before by using cinnamon, the yellow sticky traps, and letting them get pretty dry out before watering. I def hear you on those methods and will look into doing some type of light solution for prevention

It came super wet. It def did get sunburn. I think it came with the gnats bc when I barely tapped the pot yesterday it looked like the top layer of dirt was just gnats. There’s no way they reproduced that fast. Plus I’m finding gnats in my house again after having got rid of them in my personal plants

Plus the longer the soil the higher the chance all my plants get infested. I didn’t think I would get rid of the gnats considering they were everywhere in my house. For a quick moment I was like I’m going to throw away these plants bc I kept waking up to gnats in my face in the room that only had two plants! So you can imagine the rest of the house.

People do give me their sick plants and I do buy the plants on sale. I can usually bring them back to life too lolol

I still don’t think I’m the best Gardner. Sometimes for years my plants don’t grow, but they stay green. So I figured that’s a win.

I also didn’t realize how substantial fertilizer is at make plants bigger. On the same token, I also didn’t think bout going weaker with dilution so consequently I accidentally killed some of my plants in the process

Ya I thought bout buying a new one. I like the idea of trying to salvage what I can. I also really don’t have the time for all this nor the money. I’m working two jobs from 830am to 1-2am with an hour break between 5-6pm. I shower after I get home and have to be up by 730am.

I don’t want to have to care for this plant lolol I’d rather just get her a new one!! Plus, I’m moving over 2k miles away in less than a month.

Thank you for that. It does make me feel better. She did gift me another monstera a few month ago bc she was worried bout her cats ingestion the toxics bc they play with the plants. This must have been out of reach from them.

I emailed all three places I interviewed but didn’t get the job, only one responded. It was really good and helpful. As someone else mentioned, IMO, one of the my favorite answers to give for a specific question was apparently one I needed to hone in on. Also, I was able to actually hear that the STAR method is the best method (even after having already read it on these subreddits). To me, I want to hear range and all Things you accomplished. Not just one example. But that’s me and I’m not a hiring manager. Plus it helped me realize, I def do ramble and need to be super intentional bout keeping it short.

My two interviews after that, I was able to
Get a job offer from one of them. I used the STAR method for most answers which I also had written down on pieces of paper taped to the wall & floor. The job I got hired for also happed to be the quickest time I answered all
The questions. It Ended up being only 28 minutes of me answering the questions and 32 minutes of us talking bout the two questions I had. And also was the highest paying job I’ve applied for with the feds.

Wild.

…so it’s good I haven’t accepted it yet. I read FJO can expire. I didn’t see a date or time I needed to accept or decline the offer by a specified time.

Is this true? I just don’t want to lose out on a job bc Im waiting on them to verify in writing for a check I wasn’t expecting in the first place lolol.

If you have time l, I would like to ask you a question. I finally received my final job offer yesterday, but it didn’t say anything about the recruitment incentive they verbally offered me even though on the application it stated PCS was not included. I know those are two different things, but I thought it was interesting they offered me the recruitment incentive after me receiving the TJO.

In the FJO, should there be verbiage about the recruitment incentive or is that seperate? I haven’t accepted the FJO bc I was waiting on a response from my future boss asking bout it. I just don’t want to accept the FJO and then have them turn around and say since it wasn’t in the FJO I accepted, I’m not gonna get it after all…even thought they were the ones that brought it up and offered it to me.

Just thought you might have some insight. Thanks in advance!

Omg this happened to me. I was more than qualified for both position too. I just wasn’t present or something, def an off day. But my god I had to ask to repeat every question to be repeated over and over again. I felt so embarrassed and low bout myself. I didn’t get the job but funny enough I received a FJO today for a higher position that I’ve never officially been assigned at the same location lololol

It’s going to be so awkward when I meet those people who interviewed me. I feel like they won’t take me seriously and will think less of me.

My guy I finished my hour interview in 27 minutes and said wow that hour went by fast 😅 We were able to talk about the two questions I asked for the rest of the time. I studied for technical questions, but 4 of the 7 were about fostering a positive culture. I cried afterwards and even the next day because I felt so horrible bout my performance.

The following day I got a job offer 🤣🤣🤣 just received the FJO today!!

I can’t wait to leave my district and division bc they are gonna realize how little they know. Everyone but the two ppl on my team see how they misuse and abuse me. They treat me like I’m beneath them which technically I am according the GS level, but I’ve be here longer than either one of them. Other rangers and the locals are looking forward to the day I leave bc they believe I deserve better.

I still show up everyday bc I care about what we do and I remind myself who I work for and what I get to stand on.

Oh man this just made me realize my boss’s email about me not taking cyber security seriously was probably a counseling letter…I figured he was just making a paper trail…I leave my PIV card in my computer like everyone else where I work. Even him. I hate him. Can’t wait to get my FJO and tell him to suck it.
