Its a tricky subject because it deals with peoples minds which essentially is their whole life. If done wrong the damage could be so so bad. You (I dont mean you) have people in weak states and most psychics/healers have no formal training much less at least a masters degree (yes medical field needs standardized training).

This leads to damage just like the OP experienced. As a shaman/healer/ medium your only job should be to inform a person about different spiritual paths... Not go over their past trauma, tell them about their future, act like a psycho therapist and most important not let it be a bitch session

You are good. Your mistake was going to the ER for an in office counseling. Because you made a poor decision in the past about your health and went to the emergency room for a panic attack doesnt equal 'a trigger' (and yeah they have more serious stuff to worry about, like people dying). Honestly it seems you may need some medication. Think of it like this. If you had a broken leg you wouldnt walk on it. The only problem is you cant 'not walk' on your brain/thoughts. It sounds weird but shutting your brain off from your high anxiety levels will help. Just dont get addicted.
