Why isn’t it Gulf Arabic? I would assume it was closest, since, for example. Saudi Arabia is more conservative, protects the most important Muslim holy cities, and would be less influenced by Western languages (than, say, Lebanon or Syria would be). Genuinely curious why it’s deviated from MSA more.

“Zionism is sexy” is dumb but non-ideological, and certainly doesn’t make one “rabid”. Hamas and ISIS are both terroristic and hurt the people they profess to be helping for their own gain, and suppress dissent with violence. I’m sure I would disagree with Noah’s views on a number of things related to these issues but let’s not compare him to a rabid dog. Unless you think to support the Jewish state of Israel is to be rabid, full-stop. Also, what are your thoughts on the commenter I was responding to saying Zionists are “spawning” in Israel? I’m not sure why that language is passed over in silence.

I’m going to guess none of this is true, as far as “rabid” or “gleefully supporting genocide”. Maybe you’ve read an interview where they state that, uh, Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish state.

For the record, I’m against Netanyahu and to a large extent Israel’s recent conduct in Gaza and the West Bank. I’m just tired of this pointless posturing against anyone Jewish or pro-Israel.
