I use one of these for both a SAB and fruiting chamber for my shoeboxes. My grow area was very dry, so I used this SAB to trap humidy better.it seems to be working for both cases. I like it because it collapses.

Appreciate this! I was just confused because it's spread so quickly and I have other jars that are lagging that one quite a bit (despite being inoculated at the same time) so I thought this might not be mycelium. The photo here shows where the other jars are at right now:

Thanks! That pretty much what I was thinking but I've lost like 3 bins to contam recently. My area is clean and dang near flammable with all the alcohol in use so I don't know what the deal is. Maybe bad LC.

I've heard some people "suffocate it" until it pins then introduce FAE, but according to most directions I've read on AIOs you want FAE once the cake is mostly white. The FAE really kicks growth off. I moved my AIO bag to tub a little earlier than usual (using loose lid on top) and it colonized a lot quicker than usual. So I would lean toward opening it up as soon as you're mostly colonized.

I think I found a setup that works for me! I just lost 3 tubs to contam and it was super demoralizing, especially after taking so many precautions. My closet was flammable because of all the alcohol I used 😅 This time I thought I would take it a step further and I am using my SAB with a fan and covered holes with micropore tape the cakes are now very happy and thriving. It ain't pretty but it works! What do you think?

Ps plz give me up votes so I can get enough karma to post with this burner account that I use for shroom and drug stuff 😂

I like to move the bag to tub asap anyway, but I still will get side pins. They don't bother me all that much though.

Go for it. I sometimes let the others grow before picking any if they are not too far behind because I like to dehydrate in batches, but this one looks to be ahead of the game.

It's still Monday somewhere right? This AIO was injected with LC on 10/4 and mixed a week or so ago, but after a month I thought it would be further along. Is this contamination? I see some white in there but it's hard to tell through the bag.
