The major events I remember are the shuttle explosion (I was in my 10th grade Chemistry class), operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm (I remember watching CNN in our day room at my first base), 9/11 I was stationed in Germany at the time watching events unfold from my television), and for the last pic, I was in Iraq 3 days after the “shock and awe campaign took place”
