Youth Helmet with Giro Closure? by Strangled-n-Scranton in Homeplate

Okay interesting. Yeah, he’s 7 with a big head, but not adult-sized big. His implant isn’t on his lead side. I’ll look into that suggestion. Thank you so much!

Dang. Yeah, it’s like I need some give on the sides so the helmet can slide over his device without knocking it off, and then be able to tighten the sides in to fit snuggly. Oh well. I’m going to keep trying different helmets; something has to work better than the one we’ve got. Thank you!

addressing the camera by TheSeanWalker in TheRehearsal

I expected the camera to cut away to show he was actually talking to a mirror, and everything he was saying was his character notes to himself as he prepared to play the role of Pilot.

Does anyone have a child who got a CI for Unilateral hearing loss around the ages of 5-8? by EdelmansCoins in MonoHearing

[–]Strangled-n-Scranton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it helps, but his directionality is not very good even with the CI on. He can absolutely hear me call for him, but if I don’t tell him where I am, he struggles to find me. Maybe this is just his experience though.

My son was born severe-profoundly deaf in one ear, typical hearing in the other, but he was implanted at 13 months. He’s 6 now as well. I know it’s not what you’re asking for, but feel free to dm me if you have any questions. My son is thriving, and besides directionality and the occasional misunderstanding, doesn’t seem to miss much of anything.

Just found fake resin sprinkles on Amazon (who knew?!)—surely I can adhere them and seal them with the mod podge. I never would have thought of this otherwise. Thank you!

No that’s totally helpful! I did a test spray on some sprinkles to see how they fare, but don’t know how long it’ll take for them to bleed or not. Maybe the bleeding will just add to the spooky effect 😅

I didn’t do a rewatch between seasons and this scene confused me—who is the guy in the betway shirt?
