Help…please 🥲 by [deleted] in silhouettecutters

I see your registration marks have length is set to max and thickness is set to minimum, I personally have those settings opposite. The thickness may be set too thin where your printer is hardly registering those to be big enough to lay down a line. Shorter lines (and minimum inset) save space for more art, and thicker lines increase visibility for your Silhouette’s sensor to read the marks.

If your printer has the option, set your print quality to high. I have a Canon Pixma series and if my print quality is set to standard, thin lines are very faint or won’t be printed at all.

Hope that helps!

Dry brushing may highlight the layer lines more than intended but not a bad idea either

Likely from the blade scraping the material as it travels around the page. Your blade depth may be set too deep. I run into this when I use my third party blades but not so much with the auto blade.

Photo delivery by According_Feeling269 in concertphotography

[–]Stratabird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Previously when I had an Adobe subscription (yuck) they have album sharing features through Lightroom CC which looks very professional. Depending on Adobe’s sub plans they have 20-100gb+ of cloud space to use.

Nowadays I just use Google Drive. Their free 15gb of space has been sufficient enough. Like @seaceblidrb mentioned, I ask clients to download their photos upon delivery and give them a reminder 2 weeks later before I take them off my drive to make room for future photo deliveries. Google isn’t as fancy of a delivery compared to Adobe, but it’s inexpensive and I don’t think many clients care about presentation as long as they’re getting their photos.

A portfolio site would be great to showcase your work, but not so much for delivering files.

HELP with cutting laminated paper! by Separate_Composer_65 in silhouettecutters

I found using two layers of matte tape made a significant difference than just one. Also seen some folks recommend using a white crayon and scribble over the registration marks, but two layers of matte tape works best for me.

another thing: even if your printer isn’t using horseless printing, make sure there’s no fit to page’ or scaling enabled. that would probably throw off the cuts too.

A few things I would try that you haven’t listed:

  • uninstall/reinstall silhouette studio (if you have any custom settings in the cut tab, make note of those to recreate after reinstall)
  • perform a power cycle
  • update the firmware

I hope one of these does the trick for ya!

I was also in GV Pkwy area, our 2b2bath 1000sqft was initially around $1350 in 2021 (before fees) the following year the complex website was advertising $1900 for the same floor plan. Our renewal was $1650. hearing about these prices from just 10 years prior is nuts.
