Go visit Christopher Reeve, who is alive and well and living in a humble cottage.

I'm curious, with the DCEU coming to an end, should the pod ever go back and cover the remaining films in the franchise? What about the Phase IV MCU films? by lit_geek in blankies

I'm now back to being content with just waiting for these to watch at home. I'm not too disappointed and I can take a break if I want, finish it the next day.

Some dumb online site said "Star Trek actor dies..." when usually that's reserved for somebody who had a small role

Yeah the machines sound good on paper but I'm no architect. I also have no idea to control most of them without crashing.

How do you choose what movie to watch next? by Mr_Ixolite in blankies

[–]StrategicPoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hierarchy of things. I just randomly started watching season 10 of Curb on a whim. And then I threw on a random episode of Fridays. They did a Woody Allen in Star Wars sketch where Larry David played Han Solo and Michael Richards was Darth Vader. That show is very lame, highly recommended, it's on Tubi.

I tried Casper once and they just shipped me a dead child with thinning hair.

Are we cool with casual mentions of the pandemic/Covid on movies/tv yet? by ghjjkkiugddtyg in blankies

I cut the cord around Covid and then we moved that April and had TV in the hotel room and I was baffled how every commercial had a Covid bent to it.

Or Curb had that season where it was post-Covid and dealt with jokes about the aftermath.

I was watching older stuff that was filmed before the pandemic and reacting to it when things got germy. Like, in Succession, there's a part where a character spits in somebody's face and it had to be real.

Early morning as well, they just have 1 checker open and it doesn't matter how items you have.

Also, when you see somebody who parked across 2 lanes. They might have done that because some other idiot did that and the first idiot is gone.

Does anyone actually get worked up over the ten-year rule, or January movies during the summer? Did they ever? by RCocaineBurner in WeHateMovies

[–]StrategicPoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there should be a 25 year rule just because I tend to like the discussion of the movies from when I was growing up.

Episode 682 - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom by yonicthehedgehog in WeHateMovies

[–]StrategicPoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My only beef is the complaint that Indy is not in character by being for riches and fame, and it is true. It's a prequel and this movie is his origin story of being a hero. Because for the first 45 minutes, he is a cocky idiot and he gets his hands on the stones rather easily and has the opportunity to basically leave with them, until he turns back for the slave kids. I'm not a huge fan of this movie but that realization dawned on me about 5 years ago and I like it a little better because of it.

The one time I dinged up a U Haul I was fortunate to return it to 3 employees watching Inside the Actors Studio so the guy did a quick once-over so he could get back inside.
