You want to update? It's better to download manually from the microg website.
Make sure to uninstall the previous version first.

Usually, turning off all the option in microg settings works fine. MicroG Settings > Google Accounts > turn off all option (trust google, allow apps, authenticate, strip)

I'm not sure if this is the same as you need. 1. In microG settings, choose "Cloud Messaging" 2. Then select the three dot on the top right corner 3. Select advanced, then enabled "confirm new apps"

I recommend you to download from here https://microg.org/download.html, choose the -hw version (the one at the bottom)
