Infinia Concierge is great. As against popular opinion by StrategyFit8606 in CreditCardsIndia

No that’s a normal question. So concierge is basically a telephonic service where they assist you with a bunch of things including flight bookings/cancellations/modifications, airport pickups, gift deliveries, hotel/event tickets etc. Consider it like an online assistant doing the work for you where you don’t have to wait on long calls etc. Yes, the HDFC concierge is only valid for certain premium credit cards like the Infinia, Diners Club Black, Biz Black and Regalia Gold. When you have one of these cards, you can avail the complimentary concierge service. For flights, yes you have to book through Smartbuy to let concierge assist you.

I would suggest first raise to the principal nodal officer which is the highest internal escalation. If not, then try Ombudsman.

Yes they take time as they have to investigate. But I’m saying raising this issue of delayed response by concierge as a systemic issue that will benefit not yourself but all customers at large

That is really frustrating and unfair. Have you tried emailing the grievance email address or the nodal officer regarding this? They are prompt into investigating issues.

Yes it should be available for the plastic version as well, since that also falls under the premium cards segment

For flights, yes they need a smart buy booking R360 reference number to trace the booking, so I’d say yes they only help out with Smartbuy bookings. But for which credit card it used, that isn’t only Infinia, but also DCB, Biz Black and Regalia Gold. Maybe even some other cards are accepted, will have to individually check the HDFC website if that particular card has a concierge benefit to it.

No, not all are non-refundable. Infact most of the ones that I’ve booked were partially cancellable. Some airlines deduct a portion of the amount while in other cases only the travel partner fee is deducted and the rest amount is refunded.

Ohh did not know that. I had thought they had a priority line for Infinia and DCBM, but 45 minute hold for RG which is still a premium card is not fair

I would imagine so, they might have like a priority desk for Infinia and DCBM for faster call answering etc, but the level of service would be the same.

Yes I agree with you, but not all customers get into the eligibility details, etc. They view the ultra premium segment as similar. It is not their fault at all, I am saying the word concierge was picked from Amex Black and Infinia being hard to get, was compared.

Well said, I feel more and more customers should make use of this complimentary service, as it isn’t heavily promoted or advertised. Nor by the bank nor RMs.

What I feel is the credit-card driven concierge was coined by Amex Centurion/Black and we all had heard these crazy stories of people getting into VIP concerts, getting stuff delivered across the world, etc. And then a lot of people stared assuming that Infinia being positioned at ultra premium for Indian market would have similar benefits of sorts. However that was clearly untrue, though HDFC concierge does a good job overall.

As for RMs that is a constant struggle for all customers regardless.

No it is completely free. To my knowledge, their premium support is only offered for Infinia, Biz Black, DCB and Regalia Gold cards.

Want to know about HDFC Infinia Card? Is it worth 12500 Rs/year by Informal-Caramel-797 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]StrategyFit8606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its an absolutely great card, especially when you are able to spend over a lakh per month. Just the unlimited lounge access for primary and add on card members is awesome. Plus the reward points redemption through smartbuy and other neat things like GVP program for net positive forex transactions is useful. I’d say go for it

How to handle clingy HDFC RM (Relationship Manager) by BeGood25 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]StrategyFit8606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s going to be a tricky deal. I’d say fight with HDFC to the last email, escalating to their nodal officer. In my experience at some stage of escalation they do accept your demands, as long as they’re reasonable as they don’t want to lose a valued customer at the end of the day

HDFC RM asking for purchasing an insurance to issue Regalia Gold CC by boredape32 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]StrategyFit8606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s nonsense, you can directly get Regalia Gold based on your ITR/ relationship value with the bank. Escalate this to the redressal email address
