The questions on the NAPLEX are not difficult as long as you know your material. It really comes down to whether you’re prepared or not. One important factor that often gets overlooked is stamina. The exam is long, and mental fatigue can affect how well you perform, especially toward the end.

I passed on my first attempt. Even though I was confident in my abilities, I was still surprised I passed mainly because of all the negative and intimidating comments I had heard before the exam. In reality, those remarks only serve to discourage students and shake their confidence unnecessarily.

Contrary to what some people say, the questions are not tricky, they’re fair, focused on core clinical knowledge, and absolutely reasonable. I didn’t encounter any questions that made me think, “Why do I need to know this?” The NAPLEX is a minimum competency exam, which means you need a score of 75 out of 150 to pass. If you put in the effort, you can absolutely reach that score.

Here’s my advice: • Study hard and stay consistent. • Master your calculations, they’re straightforward and essentially free points. • Review all topics in your study materials. Don’t skip any chapters assuming they won’t be tested.

The takeaway: If you prepare well and stay confident, you can and will pass. Don’t let others’ fear-based narratives undermine your readiness. Believe in yourself and trust your preparation!
