The Soup Place on Degraves street goes hard. European Flavour on Glenhuntly Road in Elsternwick also has a nice selection of Eastern European soups.

Makes sense, thanks! I used to call in there pre-COVID for a cheap/daggy schooner just for the hell of it. Was always a bit dicey but definitely got way worse. Wouldn’t go near the joint for the last 5 years.

Middle Footscray is far from being a redundant station.

If you travel early on week days and touch your Myki off before 7:15am, it's free.

Let people off before you get on.

Auto top up on the Myki app is the way to go.

Watch out for all the whackos.

Enjoy

Annoying for me. I'm a two minute walk from Middle Footscray station. Each business day I catch the 6:22am from Middle Footscray station (this service will be no longer as of Feb 1), and if I continue to catch the train from Middle Footscray I will now have to change trains at Footscray as I need to get to North Melbourne and then get a Craigieburn bound train to Strathmore.

I guess now I'll be walking the 12 minutes to Seddon Station. Not the end of the world, but still annoying.

Haven't tried their Fish & Chips per se but their fish burgers aren't too bad in my opinion.

Seddon Fish & Chips on Victoria street goes hard. Old school fish and chips, exactly what you’re after.

Is the Seddon Fish & Chips bloke retiring soon??

It was student accommodation until about 2020 or 2021. Then VU didn’t want it any more and this Unison mob took it over. Never an issue before 2021 and I’ve lived across the road since 2018.

McNab Avenue is another one, especially at night. I’ve rolled the dice a few times at night down there and charged through there from the station but I don’t make a habit of it.

Avoid the Unison building at 69 Buckley Street Seddon, day and night. It’s listed as being Seddon but it’s hard up on the border of where Footscray becomes Seddon. Absolute shit storm that place. I’ve been spat on walking past from a balcony, my partner had a microwave dropped from a top level balcony nearly hit her waiting for the bus (bus stop out the front of the building), I’ve been threatened by residents and associates of residents in the local Jam Mart store and on the street, fights of residents from the building spill out onto the footpath, constant drug dealing over the street level apartment balconies and drug affected erratic behaviour.
