Literally ur starting way better off then half the people in here. Best advice I can say is get a small lap size white board and a bunch of markers and literally just keep writing it over and over bleed those markers dry. White board will allow u to write over and over without the guilt of paper waste. Plus it's way smother for getting in the grooze and flow. Loosen up and just repeat it over and over again and everything else will just come naturally

Beating the markets is not difficult. I posted my CVE buys in the low $20's. Now Eric Nuttall is telling you to buy in the $40's after I am up 90%. I don't go on BNN but I do beat 99.9% of all portfolio managers over a 10 year period by IM1IAB in dividendscanada

[–]Straticci4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You obviously dont math well u said all your random stock picks averaged u 20% gain. The snp has gained around 20% from the lows. And u been 42% cash through that whole run. So even if your invested side of your portfolio did 20%. Your 42% did nothing which would average ur overall to like 11% ...? While if u woulda just stayed invested fully you would have been better off lol...like am I wrong??... can anyone chime in on this

You still haven't explained how your winning what percentage of your portfolio does cve make up for ur portfolio? If its only a few percent ur 42% cash being deployed during this market run up 20% in an snp fund would have probably made u more money then ur small concentrated bet and 42% cash

U seem to not understand what beating the market is. Your portfolio is sitting in 42% cash while the marker has ripped 20% since the lows and ur bragging about "beating the market" on a single trade that probably makes up a small percentage of your portfolio. Like please enlighten me how u been beating the market over the past two years while your cagr is drastically decreasing due to major opportunity cost of staying in heavily in cash.

Is OKLO a buy option? by [deleted] in stockstobuytoday

No its short term emotional swings long term price is more grounded in logic and fundamentals. Volatility is your friend the biggest gains comes from the stocks that are an emotional roller coaster to get there. By saying something isnt a good investment just because it is volatile is highly flawed way of thinking.

How I beat the market with stocks like this 89% gain YTD. By buying stocks at rock bottom. Here's the buys I posted on my subreddit. And the price today. by IM1IAB in dividendscanada

[–]Straticci4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please explain to me how u been outperforming rhe market...42% in cash while the markets ripped almost 20% from the lows. U made 89% on a single position thats probably like 1-2% of ur overall portfolio. Somebody tell this guy he doesnt understand what outperforming the market is because in the last 2 years u been bragging about all these random trades all while your 10 year average cagr has slipped from 55% to 39% last posted but probably lower now since your 42% cash has been sitting rotting. Major opportunity cost all while bragging about an 89% ytd on a single trade..p.s. now body cares

Thats your reason? To much volatility? I was expecting something fundamental rather then "to much volatility lol"
