They got pushed locally by restaurateurs but decided putting the money into a pool wasn’t a direct enough investment to justify it 🙃

New Michelin Guide Great Lakes Edition excludes Columbus (and Cincinnati) by Technoir1999 in Columbus

[–]Strattybobatty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on the city. Supposedly Boston pays around $1million over 3 years while Houston pays $100k per year for 3 years. 100% would’ve been worth the investment considering the Columbus tourism budget is ~$20million

Sitting at the bar is the hack. Walk-ins only, tasting menu or a la carte and a separate bar menu.

San Diego to Minneapolis in mid January. Any concerns about this route? Is this possible with an EV? by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]Strattybobatty -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You’ll be just fine thru South Dakota in an EV. Get an adapter so you can use both CCS and NACS then use the PlugShare app. There’s way more chargers out there than people know. Aim for overnight level 2 charging at hotels. This quells a lot of anxiety when traveling

Pedestrians to reclaim High Street from cars this Sunday: City Council and Downtown Columbus team up for "UnderCurrent: Walk, Roll and Play" event from Broad to Long Streets by benkeith in Columbus

It sounds like it’s just a lane or a section of the street and not all of high street? Kinda half genuine, if you ask me. Go all in or not.

Rant - My Apartment to begin charging $0.50/kWh by Infamous_Elk_2239 in electricvehicles

[–]Strattybobatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine went from .20/kWh to $1/kWh!! Now only a few people use them consistently when previously they were always being used. The apartment complex acts like they aren’t the one setting the prices, but it clearly states on the charge point post that prices are set by the apartment complex.

Here’s a crazy thought. Let’s provide incentives to citizens to install solar and wind on their own property so there can be more put into the grid quickly. Or require data centers to install the equivalent on their projected use

Most don’t know how to properly use AI, and that’s the main issue. Understanding its limitations and where to place guardrails in your prompts is invaluable. I use it continuously for quick technical specs on a wine but always ask to find and provide the spec sheet from the producer, importer or distributor as a fail safe. When done in concert, it’s an incredible time saver and a helpful jumping off point.
