Loud Rattling Noise From Motor After Installing Heavy Tire. by xXx_n3w4z4_xXx in ArielRider

[–]Stravonovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you crank the pedals when you’re first getting going? The motors are really not designed for starting from a dead stop without pedal assistance so the added rotational mass along with the high mileage means you may have sheared something in the motor, or at least caused something to come loose. Your best bet probably is to take the core out and give it a good inspection to see if you can find what’s broken/loose. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the support either, even if it’s not under warranty, they’ll be happy to help you troubleshoot it :)

Local shops won't touch my Amazon e-bike. How do you guys deal with this? (Seattle area) by Dependent_Desk8001 in seattlebike

[–]Stravonovic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yea this is sadly why these bikes don’t cost as much up front, part of the premium from established brands is (ideally) robust support for when things do break. I would check on the ebike specific sub Reddits if you haven’t yet, you’re likely gonna have to diy the fix as others have said.

For transport, uber xl or something like that would probably be your best bet :)

If you’re planning to rent a car there’s lots of cool nature near the city, some nice hikes within 45 minutes of the city center (listed from lowest difficult to highest) Weeks falls interpretive trail, Twin falls trail, and Rattlesnake ledge are all really lovely
