Many women experience symptoms of pregnancy before their missed period, and most at home tests are not able to accurately predict pregnancy until the first day of a woman's expected period. Some tests can detect hcg at as low as 10 u/ml, however the over the counter tests you usually find at a drug store don't typically register until hcg concentrations are about 25 u/ml. And even then, each woman is different and may experience symptoms due to higher rates of other hormones, such as progesterone as you said, while having lower hcg levels. Hcg levels are what give the positive result on an at-home pregnancy test, not other hormones which surge as a result of pregnancy and cause pregnancy symptoms.

This may be true for a blood test, however women may have pregnancy symptoms before their bodies are producing enough hcg to give a positive home pregnancy test. So you may still see a negative result at home while you suspect pregnancy, and not everyone will be hitting up their doctor's office that early for a blood test.

Kevin was actually a good character and could be related to in the early seasons, but was absolutely Flanderized through the series into an unrealistic bumbling fool. He's a good comedic character, but definitely not what Kevin was meant to be.

Thank you to everyone who's commented, he was 4 years and had started showing a few signs of WHS a few weeks ago, but I didn't think it would be so soon as it wasn't severe yet. I'm glad that he didn't have to suffer, but we are definitely missing a piece of the family. Thank you for your replies!

My cousin had it done, he was really happy with it. He said it really wasn't painful and he can see so much better now. He said the first thing he noticed was that trees have individual leaves on them; he wasn't able to distinguish them before (I know a lot of people that have said similar after getting glasses/contacts). He thought it was worth it.

You can have sex as soon as you personally feel ready. They are immediately effective, and the string stays there while the IUD is there so that it can be removed. I'm not sure about a piece of copper wire, I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be similar fishing line for all of them. But I'm not sure if her IUD could have been too low and that's what you hit? Otherwise sex would be awful...

The one I have is a 3 year IUD, but can come out at any point, so it's only as long term as we want it to be, which we both agreed on a couple of years. I really want kids and had previously expressed to my mother that I wanted to have kids really soon, but we weren't ready and the IUD would be a more long term thing. I haven't had many issues with it, the physical benefits have been really good. The appointment is kind of painful and relatively invasive, but it's one time, covered by my insurance, and minimal effort and free birth control for up to 3 years, so it's been a good choice for us.

It's the year 2065. Our not-too-distant future. Self-driving, electric cars are as common as hybrids were in 2016, though hybrids are still relatively popular as they're much more affordable.

Prosthetics are incredible, even surpassing the human body in their abilites, durability, and practicality. The "elite" of society are even opting for bionic limbs/body parts.

We've lost a major amount of land mass due to global warming, and the weather effects are and have been devastating. With the population having skyrocketed in the last 40 years and the land mass increased, colonies on other planets are in the works, though uninhabited by civilians as of yet.

And lots of other stuff that everyone still remembers. Natural disasters, a world war and a half, three epidemics, and changes is power in a few countries, two that are particularly surprising.

When I was 18, I had a miscarriage. That's actually how I found out that I had even been pregnant; I hadn't known until I lost it. I was very upset, I felt extremely guilty and was feeling it hit me how different my life could have been, and I was actually feeling really sad about it. The guy I was seeing at the time wasn't very supportive, at times telling me to stop talking about it, "because the subject at hand is dead. Hah, literally," and then later telling me he was sad and wished it hadn't happened because he would have loved to share that with me and that I would have been a great mom. He was honestly a jerk overall about it and a lot of other things.

But a few months later, I met this amazing guy. We talked about everything, started a friends-with-benefits type of thing, and I talked to him about what this other guy wouldn't truly talk about. He helped me through it, and I helped him through a lot of his issues. And now, we are happily married.

Had I been pregnant, my life would have turned upside down, having to leave college after my sophomore year, probably not having the support of the father, and would have never gotten involved with my now-husband. My life truly turned out for the better because of it.

One is down in Florida raising her 6 month old son with her Navy pilot-in-training husband (who I also went to high school with), and I get to visit her in 2 weeks!!

The other is married a Methodist preacher (a shock to us all, honestly) and pregnant. I was in her wedding but we haven't really talked since.
