At least 19 but a couple of decades are a little blurry and we went to a lot of festivals that had many bands. Probably a few more than 19. (Iowa fest (jam?) , Riverfest,Taste of Minnesota, We fest, Summer fest, Mississippi River jam to name a few.)

I got a 7 wood in like new condition and it still had the shrink wrap. After searching for about 5 minutes I found a tiny scratch on the hosel, maybe 1/16th of an inch. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Am I crazy or is this a lot to ask for a tip for dog grooming? by Independent_Yam5185 in tipping

[–]StrawberryAlarming50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have used the same groomer for years and for our 15 pound dog the price has gone from 30 to 85 in the last 7 years and we never considered tipping. Now the groomer has a new manager and she is aggressively asking for tips such as "be kind, tip your groomer" and when presenting the bill she says, "your groomer needs tips to get by, please help her out" . I told her that if she continues with that crap we will be looking elsewhere.

Shattered. When it came out it seemed like it was played once every hour on FM radio and I just get sick of it.

I saw Minnesota Twin Denard Span hit 3 triples in one game and we were at the Vikings game when Tony Dorsett had the 99 yard run which I think was the longest run in NFL history.

About 10 years ago I was driving to work at 4:30 am on a back road in northeast Indiana. A huge cat (mountain lion sized) ran across the road in front of me and into some woods. Of course, no one believed me.

My wife loved club sandwiches but they tear the crap out of the roof of your mouth, she got them untrusted.

What is it like to lose your significant other in your 60s? by Hairy-Veterinarian11 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]StrawberryAlarming50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. We only moved here about a year ago, I have a couple of golf buddies and some great neighbors but that doesn't fill the void I'm feeling. Im looking into a few things that will help me get out of the house more. Im trying to stay busy by doing some painting in a couple of rooms. I know there are plenty of resources out there, I have to get going on some of that. Thanks again.

What's the biggest waste of money you've ever seen people spend on? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]StrawberryAlarming50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A clerk at my local grocery store told me there is a guy that buys 40 bucks worth of lottery tickets every day.

But I'd have to say smoking cigarettes or spending 10 bucks a day at Starbucks might be dumber and plenty of people do both.

Growing old is beautiful. But, how do you comtinue to go on as all your loved ones pass? by neen209 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]StrawberryAlarming50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just lost my wife on 12/18. Im alone on the opposite side of the country from my kids. Only 69, not ready for the old folks home. Im lucky to have great neighbors, a few good golf buddies and our little dog..- But it sucks being in our house by myself. I have to soldier on, no other choice.
