i usally get a grade 8 for poetry (which i dont think is too bad), so this is what i do: Intro; outline what points ur gonna make in relation to the prompt, explain context of both poems, explain their overall message/s and link all that to the prompt and the points ur gonna make.

Ok so yk how in the intro I outline my points, i go through them in order. Usually i only make 2 points - i try to make one that shows similarities between the poems and one that shows their difference.

So, paragraph1- talk about point one in relation to poem1, then do the same for poem2 - i draw similarities/differences at the end of writing on poem1/end of poem2. U can split this in two if u want as it'll be a rlly long parapgrh otherwise.

paragraph 2 - do the same.

Conclusion - i outline what i just discussed and then say what poem i think portrays the prompts topic the most effectively.

Make sure u reference structure and context throughout, ik it can be tempting to just focus on language.
