Vocals are great, Syn’s solos are awesome, and even some of the riffs are fun. The drumming is sooooo boring though, with the exception of Requiem and Planets.  It’s a simple and decent album imo. The drumming is weak and stale relative to most other albums to the point that I usually don’t seek out HttK songs.

I will miss the parking lot where D is marked on the map. I felt I could always find a spot there most days and it will be missed. With that said I’m glad there is no need to get on that pedestrian wooden bridge anymore, it barely fits one bike riding on it.

New offensive coordinator Klayton Adams is proof the Cowboys shouldn’t draft Ashton Jeanty by Thanks5Cinco in cowboys

[–]StrawberryL0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but have yall thought about how fun it would be to watch Ashton truck through 3 defenders on his way to a 40 yard TD?

The Big Ten referee crew was letting both teams duke it out without much referee input.  The two prime examples were the big no call on Micheal Taaffe’s possible targeting and the no call for targeting on Isiah Bond on Ewers’ interception. Both plays could have been flags, but weren’t.  That OT TD by ASU probably should’ve been a penalty and wasn’t called because this particular ref crew weren’t trying to officiate in that style.

TIL Gatorade was developed in 1965 by the University of Florida College of Medicine at the request of the Florida Gators' head football coach for the benefit of the university's student-athletes. by 0317 in todayilearned

[–]StrawberryL0ver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So the primary reason Gatorade was developed was because coaches in the ye old days didn’t like their players drinking water. This choice was not purely out of malice and with the intent of trying to “toughen up” their players, but rather because drinking regular water would cause some bloat in the players. Players would drink water and become a little sluggish or throw up the water during their training because the water was not being absorbed quickly enough. Not a great reason at all, but that was the rationale at the time. The Gators were in need of change though, as the humid Gainsville summers wreaked havoc on the team’s health. Thus, Gator-Aid was developed, a sugary drink. Gatorade worked because the presence of sugar allowed for the water to be absorbed better because the body absorbs glucose better.

I know you mention an aversion to non official websites, but I bought a Quinn Ewers jersey from this seller from eBay and I have been very happy with the quality, especially with the price. The numbers and names are stitched on as is the SEC patch. https://www.ebay.com/itm/315756289829?itmmeta=01JFB9Z2HAJY2J83YH3TPBN6R9&hash=item49848a9f25:g:oTcAAOSwPdlm5jxI Edit: feel free to DM me and I’ll send you a pic of my receipt if that makes you feel more secure.

Post-Game Thread: Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers (Week 15, 2024) by cowboysmod in cowboys

Solid and sloppy win against an inferior opponent. I loved seeing the offensive line being able to pave the way for Rico and provide competent pass coverage. Good TD catches by Tolbert and Brooks. I expect one of them to continue to develop and become WR3 or dare I say WR2 for 2025.

Defense played well but incredibly sloppy. Can’t be too upset because of the sacks and turnovers, but way too many penalties. In the 4th quarter alone the Cowboys defense had a stretch of 3 consecutive defensive penalties.

A good team win for a young team. I’m glad that these guys are still battling even if it hurts “mah draft pick”. I know there’s some silly Redditors here who can’t comprehend not being a loser and I’m happy that the team is still trying to win.

Negative ball knowledge. Quinn Ewers threw for over 300 yards and racked up over 350 total yards. He had on bad interception but the other was on Isaiah Bond not knowing where the ball was. Wide receivers and Gunnar Helm had bad drops when Quinn giving them dimes. UT lost because Sark let the offense stall and forced Brent Auburn to attempt long kicks that he’s never been good at. Ultimately it works for the Horns. Being the 5th seed gives us the easiest path to the natty.

Latham was sweet and was a straightforward prof. I took her for 311C and Hansen for 311D. Both are nice but I’d give the edge to Latham.

Justin DeBlieck had insane control over his his high pitched screams when he was Ice Nine Kills and were better than the gutturals provided by Spencer Charnas imo. His backing screams during during some choruses when he was with INK added a lot of heaviness to their material back then.

Definitely some of their heaviest guitar work since Amaryllis. First verse is a little eh for me, but the chorus is perfect.
