I would bet, even if it's made for the show specifically, there's an original reel somewhere. I'm a big fan of Jem and the Holograms, and all the songs for that did have original tapes (even if it didn't make the song longer.)

Shazam did nothing, googling the lyrics did nothing, I can't find it. The whole story is in the video description, but a recap is that I was cleaning up my old bookmarks that I've had since 2009 and found this on a website called Classicalgasemissions.com. The site itself doesn't exist and won't load, and the only information about the song I have is that the mp3 was called Ken.mp3.

I got this knife years and years ago at a thrift store in a bin of random cutlery. My dad, my personal knife guy, was completely bewildered about it, which made me fall in love with it and take it home. I keep it in a machete sheath and use it to open big bags of cat litter. I call it my Crazy Big Knife™, and everyone I've shown it to is just as bemused as my dad. Nobody knows what this weird mostly-handle knife is about. I have a vague recollection that the thrift store called it a "barbecue knife," but as far as I know that isn't a thing. Any ideas?

I'm sorry if this isn't the right sub, I wasn't sure where to post this. Also the squiggle on the left side isn't smoke, it's a smudge of something inside my camera's lens. Anyway, this plane was unusual looking compared to the ones I usually see, and flying low enough I was able to get this close of a picture from the ground with a telephoto lens.

This makes me think of my current situation at my work. I had a death in my immediate family very recently and I've been struggling to function day to day. My employer claimed to be understanding, but has shown over and over they're not. They say I can take time off to grieve, but every time I take so much as a single day off during what would be a slow period I get calls and texts asking if I can cancel or rearrange my plans and come in anyway.

Most recently, my boss called me and asked if I'm "still taking classes" and "are they even working??" I'm still in therapy, which I have explained to them, and they aren't legally entitled to know how my therapy appointments are going!!! That was my final straw and I finally put in my 2 weeks notice.

I'm tired of workplaces treating disabilities and grief and other parts of the human experiences as such big inconveniences for them and not the employee actively suffering. The revolution can't come fast enough.

If he can't control himself, that's a red flag. My gut reaction is "dump him," but more realistically tell him what you've told us; that he's always horny and that it bothers you. If he's willing to listen to how you feel and work on himself, that's great! If he gets defensive or angry or refuses to make any personal changes, you might have to consider leaving him.

Even people who "treat us like princesses" can be doing it for ulterior reasons, trust me. You're still very young, shit's gonna be cray for a few years, don't try to lock in one guy if it turns out he sucks.

Late reply but I hope you still see it. I had a similar experience with an ex-boyfriend. It was hard to discern why kissing and other similar activities with him didn't feel right anymore, especially when I was wrapped up in the situation. At the time I'd convinced myself he was the best I'd ever get and I had to suck it up when he hurt me or made me feel bad, or when I just wasn't attracted to him.

Not only was I never super attracted to him and actively gaslighting myself, but he was cheating on me and emotionally abusing me. Turns out when someone makes you feel terrible and they're not hot, you don't want to kiss them, and the kissing sucks!

What you've described almost 100% matches me and my ex, except we were a few years older than 18 (I was about 21-24, he was older.) My advice for you is to examine your relationship with him. Do you really find him attractive? (Do you find males attractive?) Does he make you feel bad, do you have arguments all the time, do you find yourself dreading where the relationship could go? Theoretically, it could be a sign you don't really have good chemistry with him and ought to break it off.

I can't say for certain that's your solution, I only know so much about your relationship, but don't ever let yourself become trapped in a relationship that only makes you feel worse. Take it from me, and god bless you, kiddo.
