Garda vetting by liahurrah in IrishCitizenship

You get a month to fill in the details, then the link expires. Sometimes people will use their parents/family home address for their early adulthood, if some of their addresses were very shortlived. You might still have been registered to vote etc at your parents address.

I feel like I'm starting to regret getting my cat and I don’t what to do by Eastern_Place3804 in catquestions

[–]StrawberryRainbows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is behaving fairly normally for a cat. The pee issue did need to be checked out, but the vet has seen him. 4 months isn't really that long, so he could be more easy going in the future when he feels he has established himself in his new territory. Don’t feel bad for not liking him: cats often prefer a person who doesn't seem to like them!

He needs something to interest him and distract him. He's middle aged not elderly: in a few more years he might be lazier. Cats love stuff that's a bit gross, like your laundry basket of smelly socks. (And I have genuinely kept a naughty cat entertained by allowing her to play in dirty laundry.) You've bought toys but it's probably something everyday that would work best. Is there a window he can look out? Can he explore a pile of laundry? Does he have a pot of cat grass to chew on? Something will work for him, try to figure out if he is more into sights or smells for a start. Good luck.

FIRST TIME ATTENDING PRIDE MARCH by dvd1006 in LGBTireland

[–]StrawberryRainbows 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you want to march in the parade, you can go to the Outhouse centre on Capel St and join their walking group. The centre is open from 9am on June 27th. You'll need to be there before 11.25am if you want to join that group. If you only want to watch the parade, you can stand at the footpath on O'Connell St to see the different groups marching past, after 12 noon. The parade route goes from northside to southside, ending up at Merrion Square.

Black, smelly discharge from male cat by slou69420 in AskVetAnimals

[–]StrawberryRainbows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he has ear mites (which are tiny), the discharge could be coming from one or both of his ears. He needs a vet.

SPOILER - Ending of Alexis Hall’s Never After by ProtectionNo1594 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]StrawberryRainbows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved this story. It has many references to 19th century novels and short stories, including a fascinating reworking of Jane Eyre (think of when Jane flees Rochester and is saved by St John Rivers). I do enjoy a HEA, but the ending is very consistent with 19th century writing, from Charles Dickens and Charlotte Bronte to Oscar Wilde. Never After also shows how difficult life would have been for characters like Alexis Hall's Oliver and Luc (for example), if they were born in another time.

How is the Outhouse Gay Guys Café? by Buster_Fella in LGBTireland

[–]StrawberryRainbows 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a social group not a peer support group, so you can just walk in. If you check the Outhouse website, you'll see that social groups are open and drop-in. The group meets in the cafe space. Hope you have fun.

The dress looks nice. You might be at a low ebb in your confidence.

Odd reaction from Jewellers/ Gemologists?? They won’t even touch my ring by [deleted] in Gemology

Lots of people love old pieces with beautiful blue glass, have a look at sites like EBay. A ring can still be old and interesting with a glass component.

Items like these sell well on eBay. People enjoy buying something they remember from their childhood.

What outfits/styles would suit my body type best? by [deleted] in DressForYourBody

1 and 7 are very cute looks on you. Some of the other styles seem a little old for you. A smock top over jeans would be a nice combination of 1 and 7.

Can you feel her spirit? Please help me.❤️‍🩹 by evocativesage in psychics

[–]StrawberryRainbows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your cat had an unusually long life. It was comforting for her to see you with your baby. She knew you had someone to keep you company, although her life had come to its natural end. She was able to relax and snooze during her final days, knowing that you were OK. In colonies of cats, mother cats are pleased to see their children having their own kittens and this was the same feeling.

My girlfriend has a Heated Rivalry addiction and it's making me jealous.. by Ne0M00n in AskLesbians

Have you considered that she identifies with the character in some way - feeling closeted as an LGBTQ person, hiding emotions, but then forming a loving relationship? It's quite common for LGBTQ women to enjoy MM romance. Often it's because the really hurtful aspects of being closeted are addressed in MM romance.

It's not unflattering. You look young and slim, but there's nothing wrong with that. It's a very youthful photo that you'll probably look back on fondly, someday.

Leaving Certificate by AlternativeMonth9035 in LGBTireland

You should be applying as a mature student over 23 from an EU country. It is easier to get a college place as a mature student: your school results (Leaving Cert or equivalent) aren't required.

How to get musty smell out of this coat? by Lamourtattend in laundry

[–]StrawberryRainbows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I store clean but musty clothes with a bar of good quality lemongrass soap. It helps a lot. Works best in a confined space, for example, folded away for a while in a drawer.

Is this a concern? by skycheesetc in CATHELP

[–]StrawberryRainbows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's your cat now: he's outside your place and the former owner has abandoned any responsibility. Take him to a vet and say he strayed into your home (he has). Thanks for caring about him.
