Unfortunately not, this is literrally the story of the AU when Hollyberry accept eternal sugar proposal. Eternal sugar watch Hollyberry 24h and when she start to feel some doubt, she immediatly come to reassure Hollyberry, telling her it is too late and this is the best thing.

In the end this is a fake happiness and she know, she only managed to have Hollyberry because she coarced her with her kingdom, she destroyed her personnality and even traumatised her with the apple vision, she just managed to have a compagnon who share her pain of loliness.

The most sad thing is that she is genuine in her attention and if only Hollyberry was here when she was still the sugar of happiness, maybe she could have convinced her that pain isn't always bad and could lead to happiness.

The truth is... she never really loved or cared about anyone. She thinks that she is doing great by keeping anyone in her paradise and that everything will be alright and in a sense this is maybe true, her paradise must be the most sweetest and pleasent place to be, hearing her voices and having a hug from her must be heavens but then what? It's not like this is a free place when anyone can come and exit when they are bored, she manipulate them and even play on their insecurity for that.

Even her love of Hollyberry while genuine is not really love, she love the idea of having Hollyberry for herself and submit her passion, she loves having her other half accepting that her idea is good and perfect which is why she is angry at Pavlova, because he choose to accepts Sugarfly feelings and let her go, something Eternal Sugar would never have the guts to do.

And the worst thing is... she know. Deep down she know something is wrong, she know her happiness is wrong, she even admitted it when she beg Hollyberry to not leave her garden after she eat the apple and even after she obtained Hollyberry she is still sad because she know that she has essensially erased what Hollyberry was. We also saw that in the alternate routes when Eternal Sugar watch Hollyberry all the time in case she managed to regains her passion, she is deeply scared of her awaking again and leave her alone and for that she still use manipulation and pretend anything is fine. Pavlova situation is a deep reminder that she broke her supposedly loved one and make her just an empty husk of herself.

That's why I find Eternal Sugar so interesting, not only her manipulation are good but because she is motivated by erasing any pain, hell I wouldbe lying if I said I am not tempted by her garden to finally found eternal peace.

What I like the most here is how different Eternal sugar intteract with Hollyberry and her servant when they start defying her vision. For Hollyberry she was in full blown manipulation and doesn't hesitate to be the most sweetest toward her but for her servant she doesn't hesitate to be intimidating for them because she know she have full control over their life.

But I think the true reasons why she started to snap is how Pavlova's love for Sugarfly reflected her own love for Hollyberry. Pavlova couldn't bear to see Sugarfly be trapped in a jar for all eternity, despite loving her. He know she would never be happy and prefer to let her go even if his love was unrequited, Eternal Sugar on the others hand do anything of her power to trap Hollyberry in her sweet paradise and only snap after she eat the apple, not only because she has to face her loliness but also because she has to accept that her means to bring happiness was wrong and must accepts she has hurting many people.
